I can only wish to visit such a winery. I’m at a stage in my life where i can afford to rent a power cart when i play a round of golf, but it will be a couple more decades before i can budget for a winery trip.

QOTD: I’m hoping maybe for the 09 vintage – most likely it’s going to be the soonest I’ll be able to get out.

Gary, I have to say I’m realy enjoying watching you make your way through the Bordeaux. I’m new to wine and all I’ve heard about Bordeaux’s is “get the ’05’s,” “You absolutely must buy cases of the ’05 vintage.” I have bought a few ’05’s but for someone who is on a budget(mostly as a result of the the economy) I can’t afford many of the bottle I come across. And the few that I do have, I’m afraid to drink. What I am getting to is that it is nice to see someone pointing out the other vintages, ones I can buy for a few bucks less, and feel like I can open and enjoy. I start my search tomorrow.

Great show, Gary. I am really liking the Bordeaux series!

La Tour Martillac is great because you can never confuse the label for any other chateau. And it is the only Bordeaux of commune AOC level that I’ve had both the white (excellent) and the red (very good). Can’t wait to see where Gary’s Bordeaux tour takes him next!

Fun show, again. Wouldn’t it be a hoot if all the Vayniacs showed up at Tristan’s Chateau at the right time for picking?

The Bordeaux tour looks to be a good one. Guest was a real good sport about the show and you may have converted him to be a Jets fan. He needs a Jets tie or pocket square…
