line of the day – ‘Mott, have you ‘done’ a lot of white pepper in your life…..’

This is a short format, one wine show – I like the longer ones

unbelievable… I drank that wine last night with spaghetti and meatballs…nothing special until it had been open for 3-4 hrs and then was a really nice wine.

  • GlennP

Mix it up? Sure. But you did propose another double blind. as for the area, a great area for pizza/pasta pairings — QOTD –Salice wines and various Primitivos over the years

I’m looking forward to the long format shows. I like the concept.

QOTD: Never been to Italy. Haven’t had much Italian wine either for that matter. I need to expand my pallet in that direction.

QOTD: the answer is yes. I had three bottles of the wine you reviewed today) (it might have been the 07, I got it at Costco the are gone so I can’t check.) over the last month. Goes great with your weeknight pasta and gives a little complexity for very little money. There are some great deals that can be found in Italy.

  • You still don’t understand meatballs…until you’ve tasted my mother-in-laws meatballs (straight out of Sturno Italy, a little town outside of Avilino). They are insane.

QOTD: I’ve never made it to the heel of the boot.

QOTD : Yes. Recently the 2004 Tarabuso Primitivo, the 2003 Cantele Reserva Negroamaro/Malvasia, and the 2005 Li Veli/Passamante Negroamaro. All for around $15. Great value!

Thanks for bringing another one to my attention.

    Cheers!

Fantastic with the new format! Very digestible and will be a great change — although looking forward to the super in-depth eps as well. Gotta keep it fresh! Also love how you’re getting into an educational aspect a bit more these days (but always with an emphasis on FUN, which is a breath of fresh air).

QUOTD: Never been to the heel, although I’ve seen the usual suspects of Italian tourism… I NEED to go to Sorrento and Sicily…

  • KAHUNA

Soilness? I get that in my underpants!
