Great show! Vance seems like an awesome dude. He reminds me a lot of my dad. Will definitely have to set up an appointment to go taste and buy some wine on our Sept trip out to Napa.

QOTD: Well being a bald/balding dude myself I think it is safe to safe that chicks dig us. At least that is my experience. And thankfully my wife’s very strong opinion as well.

This has been a great string of guests. Everyone except the pizza guy has been awesome, with very cool back grounds and histories.

Again awesome show, can’t wait to hopefully meet Vance soon.

Amazing show guys. I love it when someone can match GV in both energy, enthusiasm and charisma. It’s a synergistic thing where magic simply happens.

I want to see that pregame tailgate for the Jets/Raiders game with Vance as a on location WLTV.

Just an absslutely great show. Have missed a good week of WLTV. Made myself a bit late with my schedule this morning watching this episode but I don’t care. Great conversation. Great commaraderie. Great Story. Can’t wait to find the wines.

Really enjoyed the show, Vance seems like he would be a great guy to hang out with. You really should do a show just chillin’ and grillin’ with him at his vineyard. I hope his sausages do end up in the Midwest.

QOTD: Love them! Someday my husband may join their ranks and my grandpa and great uncle (like a grandpa because I lost mine when I was young) were both bald. My little guy was bald for the first year and a half. All great guys that I wouldn’t change a thing about! Love guys that start to go bald and just shave it all off. Looks good on the ones that do it.

Not a huge fan of episodes with guests, but Vance rocked it! such a down to earth guy that i never wouldve guessed was a wine maker. You need to film a episode when you go out to see him.

gary, vance sharp hands down is one of, if not, the best guest of the year. the guy is just plain cool and classy.

Vance is a great guy. I could’ve sat here for hours listening to him tell stories.

QOTD: Bald men are sexy. Husband is predominantly bald. Claims it was my fault that he became bald. Wish he would shave his head or at least a close-cut. Not a fan of the combover.

Yeah yeah yeah great show. Super-charismatic guest. Great experiment to split up the vineyard — justifies spending $100 on Zin to see a controlled study on what a winemaker can do all by themselves.

QOTD: I think it’s a genuine look, you have to wonder about the older guys with a full head of hair.

QOTD: Once you start serious thinning on top you have got to go bald, or at least very very VERY short. Say what you want about some guys looking great bald and some guys looking bad, bald always looks better than some ridiculous attempt to style small patches of thinning hair into something resembling a ‘do.

Another great guest. The winemakers you bring in to the show consistently crush it. Glad to see the continuing return of Thunder Gary.

Very nice guest. I still want to know what makes his portugese sausage’s hawaiian. I really like the idea of 2 winemakers using the same grapes to make vino. A great way to tell the influence of the winemaker vs the grapes. A few of your past guests have tried to say man or nature is more important, now we can see the effect of man on the winemaking. I will try both if I find them somewhere.

QOTD— Balding is natural — do it gracefully with a nice wine.

re: Funky nose. Tony Coturri is a big adherant of not useing sulfite AT ALL, when possible. His organic (and I know of Phil employing, in some cases, biodynamic practices) and completely natural practices result in gobs of ultra ripe fruit, and natural, indiginous yeast cultures, without innoculations, or any additives whatsoever. As a consequence, sometimes, what’s in the bottle ‘Just Grapes’, can be suseptible to environmental conditions, including microflara, and/or heat/light damage, etc. Handle their wines delicately, enjoy them quickly.

QotD – do you mean cool bald, like Issac Hayes, or weird bald, like James Carville. I like Dr. Evil. I hate those evil a-holes like Rove, Cheney, etc.
