Fun episode, always good to see your father. So much for the laser-like focus, though?whenever Sasha is on the show, the conversation meanders and goes in twelve different directions, most of them unrelated to the wine. Sometimes, focus is over-rated.

I’m calling you out Gary. I never get a response. I watch your show every day religiously even though your a Jets fanatic. My Dolphins are going to surprise you on Monday.Our passion for wine is what brings mortal enemies to the table and that’s an incredible equalizer. So, for my patronage and dedication I want a friendly wager to be made today. If my Fins win you will acknowledge me and my patronage along with the win. Tuesday, the day after will be known as Dolphin Drews day for your next taping. As much as we “hate each other” on the field I love your passion and will never stop watching or bringing the thunder to my friends and family. Bought “Crush it” by the way and am looking forward to reading it and learning from Gary V. If we lose I will leave a video response on you tube acknowledging the Jets superiority along with reference to you, crush it and the Jet’s. Fair enough?

I had the 2007 Caymus a few weeks ago at a local restaurant here in the Tampa Bay area (City Fish) and I completely agree with both of your assessments.

I was a little concerned with the wine being so young, but it did not disappoint. I am going to be buying as much of it as I can afford and putting in the cellar for a number of years.

My only complaint is I had to pay the restaurant $110 for the bottle! Got to love those restaurant markups. It even went very well with the Chilean Sea Bass I ordered! Who says you can’t have a red wine with fish.

Do yourself a favor and try the 2007 Caymus!

On another note, I am very excited to hear that the 2007 vintage will be all over Napa this year. My husband and I will be spending the second week of Nov in Napa. Besides Caymus and Schaefer, what other wineries will have big reds?…Duckhorn, Chateau Montelena, Phelps?

HOLY CRAP I LOVE YOUR DAD! And he hasnt changed A BIT! Very excited about the 07′ Napa vintage myself…The Caymus is tasting VERY WELL now, but give it 10-18 years in the cellar and that wine will be SUPERSTAR (Sorta like you, my man). Keep on Crushin It dude!
