LOVE the double blind tastings. It has to be nearly impossible to not be at least a little affected by previous scores, winery name recognition etc, so this is FUN!

QOTD – I would LOVE a Thank You 3 Pack for Christmas, but I live in Utah where the liquor laws are looney 🙁 So, I want to rock a Nixon Ceramic Player (I have a Nixon watch obsession)…A little pricey, so I would certainly settle for a white, purple, or orange Rubber Player (also Nixon).

I think you ought to rock a Rubber Player. Your show/personality are screaming for a more “kick you in the face” watch my man!

Other than a copy of ‘Crush It’ I’d like a new car, a holiday home somewhere warm and global harmony. Great show. I bought a wild mallard today (dead). Have a 6 pack of 2005 burgundy under the bed (ran out of space under the stairs and in the junk cupboard). You’ve inspired me to crack one and see how it’s getting on.

I was surprised after revealing the Beaux Freres you didn’t have one more taste to make sure you were meh still, but you probably just new it was a disappointment. When a wine is cloudy like this one does it mean it’s faulty? Could it have been faulty? Also, I had read that 2008 was one of the best years ever in Oregon and like other Vayniacs have written, Pinot may be so vintage sensitive this could be the difference, still you would think producer should matter the most.

Evening Land ’07 Eola- Amity Hills Seven Springs Vineyard is #97 on WS list of Top 100 wines 2009. I tried the Evening Land Carl Myers vineyard a few months ago at a local tasting here in the SF Bay Area…pretty good. I like Willamette pinots, but rather have a Calif pinot..(Russian River, Anderson Valley, Santa Rita Hills).
