line of the day – ‘seemed a little conservative, then got a little freaky deaky’

GV was convinced that one of these wine was young, and one definitely a little older. They were both from 2004…proving that our leader is human after all.

    A Conterno 87 that I received as a gift from the Italian CEO of a car wheel manufacturer after a successful IPO around 1992. The wine was very good as I remember drinking it in 2000 (give or take a year), but it was a bit of disappointment (maybe considering the gift). I have kind of ignored Barolo in favor of other wines, but due to your segment I will refocus on them.

    qotd: Barolos really not me Bag….. Remember buying several from the
    1989 & 1990 Vintage based on all the excessive bloviating of the Wine
    Critics. I can’t remember likin’ any of them. BUUUUT I’m ready
    to Give ’em another try, maybe me “Pal” has changed….??…..
