GV was convinced that one of these wine was young, and one definitely a little older. They were both from 2004…proving that our leader is human after all.

I think they’re among the great hidden values of the world and I’d take a $50 Barolo to a $125 Cali Cab any day of the week. I think you’re right that they’ll continue to grow in popularity as the wine consumer continues to keep an eye on value, but I certainly hope the prices remain consistently lower than Cali, Bordeaux, Burgundy.

    Never had a barolo… I don’t often have the financial means to buy high-end styles, and I just haven’t gone that way yet. But it’s DEFINITELY on my list.
