Thanks, first time. Now that I have gotten here I don’t quite know
what I will do. Start a non profit of some sort perhaps. I would like
to thank everyone who has helped me get here.

  • Anonymous

I’m not quite sure the occasion called for an acceptancew speech but, what
    the hell πŸ˜‰

  • Anonymous

It doesn’t, but most seem to make a big deal of it and I had to play
    along πŸ˜‰

You, sir, are one of the nicest and most courteous commentors on WLTV. Sincerely. Thank you for classing up the joint…
Whenever I see that avatar in the comments, I’m always, like, “I wonder what the good doctor will be opining today!”
Oh yeah… we know EXACTLY what sort of ill wind will be blowing…

I can understand your sentiment regarding guest shows. However, I believe your money well spent (and others from that matter) should be a separate category from your desired requests and constructive criticism directed at WLTV. If you choose to shop at WL Gourmet library etc. theoretically it is because you like their products, their knowledge of these products and the way they run the business. I agree that WL and WLTV are closely connected and are synergistic regarding sales and popularity. That being said I do not believe Gary started WLTV to plaster his name everywhere and plug products till the cows came home (which I suppose by now they have). Therefore WLTV may be more separate that you give it credit for. This does not detract from the fact that you indeed do deserve your say, and I also hope Gary heeds your advice.

  • NY Pete

    hey hey

  • QOTD:

I would have thought the answer was obvious, Champagne, show off a bit and impress! Buy a big brand like Veuve or Dom P and they'll love you!

  • guest=paaazzzz (again)

  • Allan

This guy brought the thunder with his “averageness” (ie; he was: COOOOOL & CALM & MEGA COLLECTED (if you ask me)).

And he obviously has a great sense of humour! Thnx Chris!! You made my day!!!

Thank you. I must admit that Dr E sorely tests me. My lord, you’d think we
    were paying for this πŸ˜‰

  • karrens

So much for no guests this week. :/

  • karrens

    Oh come on now.

Two weeks ago he said that *last* week would be all him. Instead, there were no episodes at all last week. Fine. But then we get a good episode on Monday, no episode yesterday, and now we're back with another guest?

If you like guest episodes, great! But those of us who don't are really getting left high and dry.

  • Meh.

QOTD: Something that is a rather solid wine, nothing too flashy or too cheap either.

  • LLUErker

Well, as far as fast food goes, I'm a West Coast guy, so I'm obligated to say In 'n Out. It's not my favorite, though, my favorite is Carl's Jr, but it's very close. And yeah, I do think I'd enjoy a fast food/wine pairing episode.

QOTD: If I were going to a girl's place, and she drank wine, I'd probably go for something light. I'm not that experienced with wine, so maybe like a Chardonnay. Or possibly something like a Cava would be nice and festive.

  • winecrazy

Not yet I have some Pahlmeyer Petite Verdot coming though and a few other recommendations I got here so I am looking forward to it though. Soooon!!

  • BTW, since you are back from hiatus, I finally have something to do at work.

QOTD: Champagne, it always seems impressive.

request for Arby's fastfood pairing…I am a slut for Arby's

  • LOL i like when gary says they are playing the bears on halloween, then mott is like 'its only june'

  • Sacre Bleue Gary! Don't you talk about WINE anymore? The internet's most passionate wine program is the internet's most passionate WRESTLING/CANDY program!!

  • QOTD: depends what's for dinner! or if there is no dinner maybe a beaujolais or something that is delicious, and that I thought people who may or may not know much about wine will enjoy drinking

  • Allan

Well at least this show is absolutely FREE! come on yerself!!

If i can relate to the guest, i'm happy. Gary does it his way, and that is cool..!

Folkies in the sixties went crazy on Dylan for going electric…………………… Hats of to Gary for not giving the “crowd” what they want!!!!!! πŸ™‚ hope ya understand what i'm a sayin' ?

  • njc2o

    ughhhhhhhh

  • johnfarrin

Is everyone having trouble with comments?

  • It's only june, Mott cried πŸ˜€
Wienerschnitzel is not fast food boys. It's a Austrian delicay and made right it is really , really good.
Gossip Girl, Garys fav show , hehe

QOTD: I'll take a bottle of champagne to show I'm really serious about this date!

  • johnfarrin

Dr Edwardo I'm going to say this as nicely as I can. Your one-note comments are beyond boring. Please go away.

  • johnfarrin

    Congrats on your win πŸ™‚

  • I am so sorry, I know I know, but watch the rest of the week

  • Will bring it tomorrow!

  • Only one πŸ˜‰

  • DaveAll

oh, i like your answer best. good job.

  • SamKw

What, you have the Jets' schedule for the entire season memorized already?

QOTD: I'm going to take a different approach from everyone else here, and suggest sauternes, or if that's going to be a little too expensive, tokaji. If you have zero information on what will be served at the dinner and what the parents' preferences are regarding wine, this is going to be your safest best. Far less need to worry over whether the food will pair well with the wine, and who doesn't like sweet?

  • Wow a 90 point Pinot Noir, must look for that one. Awesome guest.

QOTD: I would say a white wine bottle, probably Riesling or Chardonnay, they are generally well accepted as not to dry and don't overwhelm food.

  • Cubatobaco (Ray)

    Ok, we're back in action!

  • I know, that was epic.

  • redrider21

Expecting some brown bag episodes Gary!!!

QOTD: I'd have to agree with winecrazy – High Alcohol Zin. No question if we are talking first date. If the parents were involved I might tone it down to a Cali Pinot Noir.

  • wrestling/candy is the icing on the cake!

  • Cubatobaco (Ray)

I already like Chris, he's a Miller Lite man!

And where the hell are the regular Spree's? All I can find are the chewy version….they suck!

  • drt999

Don't think my first post try made it . . . . QOTD — a dessert Riesling — a nice porch wine to break the ice

Since others have commented, I let my candy comments pass
