    Gary,
Hi, I hope you are doing well.
Keep up the fantastic work you are doing with the podcasts. All of the other wine experts are BORING! You have such great energy and I love that!
I love all of the podcasts you have done on California Cab’s. I have been emailing Bob Egelhoff. I really love the work he has done with his Tawny Port and so many wonderful Cab’s.
Please do at least one podcasts on the types of French Cab’s. Please tell which French Cab’s you like and why.

This was an ok episode. I’m kind of getting burned out on the guest appearances. She didn’t seem quite as interesting as some of the others. Good wine, though.

Great winery and yet only 6 comments until now? Gary – the 02 is good but not unbelievable in my opinion – the 99 Cinc was my first – holy crap wine can taste this good? wine.

  • Excellent episode (despite the tie). Margo’s an outstanding, articulate winemaker; love her ’05 Durell pinot, rsv. merlots and of course Cinq Cépages — great guest choice!

I always do a double take when I see you in the tie. Nice guest, and they make good wines but I’m not bowled over by them. I feel like I’ve been able to find more interesting wines at some better prices form the same area[s] of California. Haven’t had their whole portfolio though. A California tasting that would be a pleasure to watch would be one on the different charbono’s out there.

Low key guest, Chateau St Jean makes some very good wine, I have had the 02 Cinq and it was very good. http://www.winelx.com

I had a Pinot Noir from St Jean at the Oceanaire about a month ago. Excellent wine. Went well with the stuffed Walleye and oysters.

In these early episodes are you sort of sucking up to the guests or do you chose guests that you know you’ll like their wine?
