guess ya get alot more emails nowadays, cuz i've never gotten an email response from ya. So Gary, throw me a bone will ya?
Gotta request, would be great to see you do a vin jaune episode. Or for something a bit more laid back, how about doing one where you taste a few charbono's?
  • I have found what i was looking for !!! thx )
  • Idetrorce
very interesting, but I don't agree with you
    Idetrorce
  • Gary - an excellent well-conceived review of these Australian cabernets. Thanks for expanding my horizon.

One of my favorite Australian cabs that I am absolutely hooked on is Jim Barry The Cover Drive 2004. It's the bomb, and it's between 15-20 US dollars depending on where you get it from. That is, if you can find it. Go get yourself a bottle ASAP!!
  • JohnC
I stumbled upon it searching wine blogs on google.
  • New lurker...

    Hey Gary,
Nobody referred me to WL or WLTV. I found WL during the early days of the internet when using wine-search.com. WL prices are great and received a couple shipments before I realized WL is on my way home from work.

I don't comment much but have watch every episode. I usually catch up on the weekends. Keep up the great job and keep keeping it fresh!!!

I found winelibrary tv via rocketboom about a month ago or so...?. I've been enjoying it even though I live in Denmark and most of the wines seem to not be very available here.
    Keep up the good work

Still Not Lirking.... I read about WineLibraryTV in the Wine Spectator forums.
  • Von P
QOTD: The guy who got me hooked and referred me is named Dorey Welch...you rotten bastard. You can't imagine how much $ you've cost me in wine. But seriously, I thank him for introing me to this great site!

I learned of WLTV through wine.woot. Keep up the good work!
  • Luke L.
gary, how could you? no shout-out to vinocellar.com!? great wine website! that's where i heard about winelibrary tv. i can vouche for Gary's late night emails, received one thursday night/friday morning.
  • How did I find WLTV??
Google ... I had a bottle of CJ Cab out at dinner and loved it, so I did a Google search and found you Picked up three bottles ... Hooked every since ... We Jets fans need to stick together ... how great is it looking forward to Sundays in December, even if they were flat yesterday ...
  • BruceP
No-one referred me. I discovered it while hunting the internet for a specific wine. I got referred over to the WL site, and the rest is history. I think it was around epsiode 30 or so. Think I've seen them all since then. A great break from work every afternoon.
  • Former Luker here!

I Have become hooked on Wine Library TV!!! I discovered it recently through Wine Lover's Page (http://www.wineloverspage.com/) and now eagerly await every episode! You should make your videos available as a Video Podcast!!!! I will definitely drop by the shop next time I'm in New York.

P.S. Thank you for all your hard work! I agree with Tony S. that you should let go of the spitting on fridays! Thank you for setting the good example though!
  • Jtk
Long time lurker second time commenter. Thanks for tasting the 2000 Leeuwin Artist Series Cabernet Sauvignon. I've been a huge fan of the Leeuwin Art Series cabs since i first tried the 98 vintage. QOD ~ I don't remember who, i just remember getting your WLTV emails and thinking it's about time someone did this. Gary thanks for everything you do. Cheers ~ Jtk ~
  • I don't think we're getting an episode today. That Jets loss yesterday really crushed Gary. Maybe he has some reserve episodes to show when situations like this prevent him from filming the day-of.
  • Ryan
Boyd P referred and I've been hooked like a crack head since, keep up the good work Gary!
  • Hey Gary...

It's noon Monday...so, I'm sure you're getting ready for today's episode. But, I just wanted to answer the QOD: My friend Danny showed me your site....I forget when, but it was somewhere around episode 50 or so. I've been addicted since.

I like the laid back Friday episodes. I don't think you should spit on the Friday ones though. But that's me, I don't ever spit unless I'm at a tasting with more than 10 wines. I don't like getting drunk (which is why I'll spit at a large tasting), but I think spitting ruins the full effect of the finish. Like I said, I'll spit when there's a bunch of wine to taste cause I really want to taste them and not feel them and get back to work or home, but c'mon...2-4 tastes?? Especially on a Friday...relax...you work hard enough! Leave the spit bucket for the people who just started getting into wine.

See you later, sorry about your Jets. It's probably my fault, I picked the Bills in my office pool. Go BEARS!!!

Found your site via the Woot offering....someone posted in the forums there a link to your tasting of the woot wine and I've been hooked on your daily shows ever since. Here's a request for your Wine Library site though: PLEASE SHIP TO MICHIGAN! :) Keep up the great shows and as a sort of wine newbie I am learning quite a bit from you and others on the forum here.
  • Joyce
Been watching since the feature on front page of the Wall Street Journal. I agree with some other posters, you are destined for a much bigger stage. Books, TV shows, movies--the life and times of Gary Vaynerchuk! HUGE! I will miss the email returns, but when you have millions of emails each day--and you will---you will be overwhelmed--in a good way! For those of you who haven't met Gary in person, he is personable, funny, friendly, a genuinely sweet guy. Just wandering around his store he was easily approachable and really cute! Keep up the good work........Joyce

    Hey Gary,

I have been coming to your store since it was the little building with the very small cramped parking lot. I always liked the way your guys carried my wine to my car without even asking if I needed help. Great service all around! Since I am a longtime customer, I heard about WLTV through the WL website and have been loving it ever since :)
  • Andrew
i spend WAY too much money at WL, so i discovered WLTV during one of my frequent "shopping" trips. It is a lot of fun -- and if you need any further reinforcement of Gary's point that taste is personal, look at his hilarious, and very descriptive, terms he uses for taste and bouquet! I am not sure there is ANY resource that includes "carnival urinal" (used in an earlier episode) as a descriptor for a wine's mid-palate! i love to watch this show as it reflects my sensibilities - wine is supposed to be fun to drink and prices should reflect the experience not the brand. Thanks, Gary.
  • Michael
I came across WLTV via YouTube on a search for any info or shows on wine. I was previously listening to goodlibations.com radio show and found it to be...not what I was looking for. I started watching the show at around episode 70ish and have emailed a few times and you always respond. Boy, will I miss that interaction when you get to big to stay in contact with your fans.
I’m so glad I found your show and I have been telling everyone about it. Keep going dude, You Rock!
    Much Success!!!!

QOD: I believe I got to WLTV through the WL emails -- had been on the WL email list for well over a year, and came to WLTV through that at the very beginning.

Gary -- Painful loss yesterday. I really can't figure this team out. Truly a Jekyl and Hyde team. Looked GREAT against GB, at NE and looked like a 2-12 team against J'ville and yesterday against the Bills. Pathetic on both sides of the ball. Ugh. Need to win out now to have a shot...
  • Shotgun
I think I saw your web ad on Vinography. Your geeky picture on the ad was so compelling... Good episode. The Leeuwin rieslings and chardonnays are awesome too.
  • alco holland
I'd have to say the first person who turned me on to WLTV was Ian Dorin the fantastic new world buyer for your store. I'd also like to add that not only does Gary answer all of your emails until 3-4am he also anwers his employees emails then too.
  • Gilsner
    Gary,
    FIRST TIME LURKER

It's always interesting to watch your vidoes. Stuart L recommended your site to us and now it's a favorite.
I am always in search of the every day $10 red zin. Help!!

I found Wine Library TV from the Pod Tech article about the Vloggies. (http://www.podtech.net/home/technology/1441/and...). I am an American expat living in Milan, Italy and really like when you feature Italian wines. I find it hard to come by California, Australian, and to some degree French wines. I guess that makes sense, when you have Brunello, Barolo, Barbaresco, etc. grown in your backyard.

OK. '05 Bordeaux. Noted for the next time I cross the border :-)
    -William

P.S. That first to comment thing is really annoying.
  • hinrgman
saw your add in the asbury park press
  • Nathan N
    Wow over 100 comments!!

QOD: Found your site when I was looking for an online retailer. I don't remember if it was yahoo or google search engine. First show I watched was the Three Miners

Geez, Gary, did someone say the Jets haven't been in a Super Bowl since the Ford administration? Another dreamer, not that current. We both know it was the TrickyDicky admin., don't we? Seems that the Jets and Nixon sort of go together. How lovely.
  • Travis Anderson
    Gary,
I heard about this site from WOOT, and I'm glad I did. By the way, my Dolphins did their job and kicked the crap out of the Patties, but where were the Jets? They could have been a game off of the division lead, and they got beat by the Bills? I think it's the curse of Fireman Fred. He is one dirty bastard.

    QOD:
I came over from wine.woot.com. Since you did the monkey wine tasting I have been hooked into your show! I have started to watch the episodes from the 1st one this weekend. I have about 130 more to go! So i am about a week and half into the mix here with your show.

gary have you done any Temecula, CA wines? I live 20 minutes north of the area in Corona, CA. I would like to know if you done any shows on those or matbe you can gear up for a show like that. There is a major growth in the temecula wines and more acceptance. But would like to get any suggestions on these wines. Thanks!

Just found this website today via a google search for "wine". I love it!! Can't wait to catch up on all the old episodes! I graduated from culinary school in 04, and I've been looking for a way to add a little to my wine knowledge. Thanks Gary - looks like you and your staff are working hard.
