Cool show, very interesting concept. At the retail wine store I work at, we decided to try and sell box wines and our customers were very hesitant to give them a try. I agree Pinot Grigio is an absolut scam. People just have to have their Santa Marg for twice as much as other more enjoyable wines!

QOTD: The most enjoyable steak I have ever had was a medium rare ribeye at a restaurant I forgot the name of. Worst was a steak I had that came along with the salad bar at The Sizzler.

I had a fantastic steak at the Rattlesnake Cafe in Jackson Hole, WY. It was a Robert Parker recommended restaurant. Everybody at the table tried a bite because it was amazing.

Worst steak - Waffle House in Winston-Salem, NC. It was a mistake, but i worked real late with a colleague and the only place open was this restaurant. I ordered steak and eggs and it needed to be cut with chain saw.

    Best steak?
Would have to be the Filet Mignon at the Oasis in Manhattan, Montana or a horse steak I had in Luxembourg.
Worst, a flat over cooked so called piece of meat in Cabo. I do not know why I ordered steak. I should of had the tuna.
    Great show Gary.

Gee, Gary, if the question was “Can boxed wine be GOOD, so far the answer is “not usually”. That’s disappointing.

QOTD: (Yes, WAY too late for the drawing but I’m still behind)
Best steak ever: beef filet, medium rare, at Hyde Park in Cleveland, OH.
Worst steak ever: regrettably, anything my dear departed Mom made because it was always reduced to shoe leather from being too well done. :-(

But I still love you and miss you, Mom!

QOTD (I know I’ve missed the draw).
    - Best steak, someplace in Texas, near Houston. Can’t remember the name but it was a chain steak-house.
    - Worst steak, most anywhere in the UK.

Box wine ep? I’m a bit of a snob here, well, more like I’m too scared to take a chance!

Best: Kansas City Cut at The Chicago Chop House with a nice cali cab (don’t remember what). They may have cheesy tommy guns on the wall, but boy can they do a good steak.

ALAS! I lurk no more. I’ve been meaning to leave a comment and finally it has arriveed. The best steak ive ever had was a ridiculously delicious KOBE ribeye @ Normans’ @ the Ritz Carlton in Orlando, FL. WOW, i can still taste the juicy perfection and thee crispy garlic and herb basted crust… I need to slow down a minute. Worst steak ever was a chewey, rubbery piece of churrasco from good ‘ol sams club. Grat for T.P. not for meat. Either way Gary, LOVE the the show! Im a rookie vayniac, but my cherry is now broken. Keep up the good work!

QOTD: This is a tossup. Either “The Butcher Shop” in Dallas, where they let you pick out your own cut and even grill it yourself on the open pit. OR, a medium-rare Filet Mignon at the Graystone in San Diego’s Gaslamp district. I went down the street and bought a Caymus Cab and a Jayson meritage, and they were fantastic with that steak.
