This lady and the tramp show reminds me of my BU days in where I dated a beautiful and refined Swiss girl.

Nifty show. Great guest… I had never even thought of Swiss wines and Im glad Gary liked them. QOTD: I would love to visit Europe some day and maybe now I should think of adding Switzerland to the list of countries to go to.

Interesting show, I do not know much about Swiss wines.

QOTD – I used to travel to France quite a lot. I used to land in Geneva and drive over to Lac Annecy. The Swiss countryside is beautiful. I would love to travel there again some time and not worry about business, but focus on visiting some vineyards and perhaps a 400 year old Chateau!

Crossroads of Europe! Little bits of everything make it a great melting pot, and with such great food and wine traditions, definitely a place not to miss.

    Late, late, late, late comment.
Nice show. Sophie is a doll! I think she was really afraid that you’d come down hard on the wines. Fun.

QOTD: I’ve always thought that Switzerland sounded like a great place to visit. Now I’m really interesting in getting a hold of some Swiss wine.

QOTD: I have been to Switzerland along the French Swiss boarder. I would be interested in trying some of your wines if I can find them.

Great guest. Would love to live in a 400 year old castle and pour burning oil over the peasants trying to steal my wine.
Never been to Switzerland but defo on a list of things to do. I’d love it for the wine, the food and of course the snow.

Gary….late a as usual, but better than never. I like the whole small vineyard coming in and tell us their story and sharing some of their wine. Make for some unique viewing. Too bad you cannot swing a deal with these folks to get a few cases in so we can order them.

Qotd: Not sure I am headed to switzerland anytime soon, but if I end up their I will seek out some vineyards.

    Great episode,
She really held her own with the GV intimidation factor. Very informative as well.

QOTD: I plan on visiting Switzerland in a few months and I will definitely be searching out a bottle of this chateau’s wines.

Amazing episode with an amazing guest.

I (personally) would love to see more wine makers come and tell us about their vineyards, their special practices and make us even more interested in trying out their products.

    Good job Gary!

QOTD: I am living in Serbia and hope to get to Switzerland in the next year or two. As I travel around the region I have been trying the wines everywhere.

Don’t know if anyone else mention it but I believe perdrix means partridge

Fantastic episode!!! I loved the guest and all the info she brought about these wines. It is a darn shame that we cannot get many of these in the U.S., but maybe one day. Thanks, Sophia for all the info!

QOTD: I don’t know much about Switzerland, or it’s people, so I guess I need to read up!

    Hi Gary and Sophia

    Lovely show; fascinating and educational.

QOTD: I passed through Switzerland for a few days in 2006 and absolutely loved it. A beautiful place. It was if I was on a continual journey inside a postcard. Planning to go back in 2009 for a longer stay. Oh and the next bottle of Swiss wine I see in Hong kOng I’ll buy!

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Another WLTV CLASSIC. Sophia was awesome and, at least according to GV, apparently the wines were quite good as well. And the bonus video at the end was HILARIOUS! Thanks, again, GV and Mott-ster!!

QOTD: Hello Sophia. Hopefully you will actually read these responses. I LOVE Switzerland. I make 2-3 trips per year to Geneva on business and I have travelled around the area quite a bit. I’ve been going to Geneva for about 20 years, believe it or not, so it is like a second home to me. I have definitely had Chasselet before, but I don’t believe I have tried yours – that will change soon as I will be in Geneva during the first week of April. I look forward to trying this and some of your other fine wines. And of course, I will be having some Raclette and some fondue champignon!

Did you see at 5:20 when Sophia looked like she was going to drink the wine? She was actually using her mouth to inhale the wine since 30% of our sense of smell is in our mouths. We never see Gary do this, not that it matters. He probably doesn’t need to do it anyway! In any case, it’s a very interesting method of sniffing wine and works very well! Try it sometime!

Well, I have always been of fan of swiss cheese … so why not give wine a try, definitely in the future am looking forward to visiting la Suisse, great show Gary ! :)

I was married in Switzerland (Luzern), though I have no relatives there. I drink Swiss wines when I can find them. As a child I lived on Lake Geneva for a year when my father worked for the WHO. The beauty of Switzerland is almost surreal. It rules in my book.

    CHATrBox

Another special guest winner! It takes a strong personality to hang with GVNC and Sophia definitely stepped up to the challenge. But, I think it’s going to take a little more convincing to get her to on board with the Jets.

QOTD: I absolutely love Switzerland. It’s one of my favorite places in the world. Absolutely gorgeous and one of the cleanest countries I’ve ever been too. It’s amazing to visit a place where the people take so much pride in their country.
Unfortunately I am lacking on Swiss wine knowledge, but it’s on my list to experience. And one thing you all should experience is beautiful Lucerne Switzerland and a health climb up Mt. Pilatus!

Very interesting, they were making wine at that winery before George Washington’s grandfather was born! I love the history of these places. And her accent was pretty hot ;)

QOTD – on the subject of Switzerland I’m neutral.
