Hermitage. I have to try it now. I am a big rhone fan and have never had the pleasure of hermitage. Don’t know if I am going to spend 110 bucks but I will seek out the varietal.
    Great show.

Great show. Glad you went on and treated yourself even though the last wine was a dud. My wine shop has Hermitage so I will look into buying one in the future. QOTD: Well obviously its way too late, but I was Giants all the way. I HATE the Pats and didnt want them to share the light with the 72′ Dolphins.

i don’t hate you…. i don’t have a particular flavor profile that i prefer… i really just care about strong structure (mid-palate, finish, balance, complexity etc…) what region/grape do i look to for the best qpr?

QOTD: Eli scrambles away from 50 possible sack opportunities, throws a prayer to his TE who catches it on his pinky while horizontal and getting crushed from both directions which leads to a last minute TD and Giant Superbowl rings all round. ;-)

    BTW 491 and counting…

    Hey Gary,
I am glad you are staying. I have turned learning more about wines as a second hobby!! Between WLTV and traveling to Bordeaux last year, I am having a ball!! Keep up the good work!!

Nice work with the wine today…not so much with the initial SB prediction though.

I scored two bottles of the McPrice locally…yum. I get a lot of Brussel Sprout though underneath the fruit. Very nice. Let’s see how it fares tomorrow with some food.

QOTD: Just watched WLTV 2/5 and the Giants won on 2/3, so I can’t make a prediction. :(

Butter bandit! haha you gotta make shirts for that. A stick of butter robbing the fruit from chardonnay.

QOTD: I watched this too late. :) But now I predict that when I get home to Maine, all the football fans will still be inconsolably depressed.

why spit into a bucket with your favorite team’s logo on it? As a diehard Packer fan, I’d gladly spit into a Bears or Viking spit bucket ….

    Gary,

Great show…….it’s Monday and I’m catching up on last weeks episodes, as Friday we left for Hilton Head for a month.

My Giants managed to pull off the upset……….WOW !!!

QOTD: PATS BABY!! (but I’m watching this on Sunday night and am both exremely surprised and depressed by the reality that the damn Giants somehow pulled it off at the end, and the Pats had a crappy game…the kind of game that they have one in every, say, 19 or so games…WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE THIS ONE??!! Damn it!)

    Hey there WLTV,
OK, GV, you have done it, finally brought me out of Lurkerdom. It’s great to see the show kicking with renewed energy as it approaches 400. I watch here in Japan, although I hail from South Aussie. Speaking of which, when I worked in the industry throughout the nineties, the big cult wines of the Barossa V were the Hill of Grace and Grange. I hear nothing of these wines now, what happened do you think. I have loved wine for a long time, and used to work as a sommelier (Aussie style). Just wanted to say, Cheers mate! I have learnt so much from watching WLTV and it sates my appetite for wine talk, because let’s face it, outside of the industry it is an exy hobby! Shame really.

Bring on the butter bandit shirts!
Thanks for the link it up contest. Can’t wait to see the results.

QOTD: NYG 17- Pats 14. I’ll even put money on it.
