QOTD: The Professor. I liked Gilligan when he played the beatnik, Maynard G. Krebs on Dobie Gillis.

Thought you were going to have to send your favorite shirt to the dry-cleaners when you took a swig from the decanter. Luckily you weren’t lying down on the couch when you did it.

Pedigree can only take one so far.

QOTD: Gilligan ofcourse, I’m just as lost.

QOTD- I’ll go with Ginger, since no one else chose her. Yes, an air head, but deeper than she looked.

Maryann. Sweet inncent and very hot

QOTD: The Howells. They would appreciate wine but wouldn’t be snobby about it.

QOTHD: Man…The professor was pretty badass…so I’ll go with him, though he never invented a way to get them off the island…so maybe it should be Ginger for hotness…nah the professor…If we were stuck on the island I’d make him help me make wine.

Now off to email my favorite Aunt and Uncle Paola and Gustavo in Sydney haven’t spoken to them in ages!

qotd: Professor. He had it all, the brains and the girls.

qod-easy! Thurston Howell lll. He drank, relaxed, and had boatloads of cash to have anything he wanted, including Ginger and MaryAnn. Actually maybe only Ginger, SHE could be bought, and hey, she was in Playboy. Great job on the last 2 episodes, Gavi and Lagrein!!! My suggestion again would be to quickly point these out on a map. To locate areas on a map only increases the interest.

    QOTD:
    Ginger..what are you stupid?

    Lawrence Leichtman

The professor as he could make anything out of anything.

QOTD: Talk about the things that separate people and their tastes! This is one of the classics. Beatles or Stones? I’ll take the Beatles. Big Mac or Quarter Pounder? Give me the Quarter Pounder. Then… Ginger or Mary Ann? Mary Ann all the way for me baby!

QOTD: I’ll go with Mary Ann as my favorite… though I’m still confused as to why she was on the “Three Hour Tour” in the first place. Somehow this young, single, girl from Kansas ended up marooned on a island in the Pacific with a bunch of people she had no apparent connection to. If this were Lost they would have needed four or five flashbacks to give us the reason.

    QOTD: Got to be Gilligan

Don’t know. Ginger was sexy, the Professor was smart, Gilligan was goofy, Maryann was cute, the Skipper was, umm, the Skipper. All the parts were greater as a whole ensemble.

You didn’t sell me on the 90, for real? Never watched GI.

  17. June 6, 2008

    Adam J

The Skipper was the best character, though I liked Mary Ann for other reasons.

    QOTD: Gotta go with Maryanne.

Getting ready to go to the local wine bar to see if they will display my wife’s wine themed paintings and have a couple of slurps. Oops some GG just slipped in there. Looking forward to the weekend. It is my Mother-In Law’s 90th Birthday. She still loves her red wine.

I’m a little young for Gilligan’s Island, but I saw a decent amount of reruns when I was younger…so I’m just gonna go with the Professor.

QOTD: I was going to say Ginger but then I remembered a recent news
story and changed my vote to Mary Ann, who was recently busted for POT at age 69.

Mary Ann… how could I resist the innocent farm girl persona? And Dawn Wells is a great person in real life too.

this wine is completely out of my price range so I’m not even tempted. Some recent memorable wines were my first Chilean Carmenere which smelled of smokey bacon, an Argentinian Melbac which smelled of pumpkin pie with fresh cream!!! and a Canadian Baco Noir which smelled like olive oil! Anyways as you point out its often hard to find some of the more obscure wines that you feature, maybe the mail order thing is in my future…

going to my cousins wedding tomorrow, so will see lots of people I havent seen in a long time.

    QOTD: The professor.

    QOTD:
Mary Ann would be at the top. Girl next door thing. She would have been good in Maxum. I liked the Professor for what he could invent and Gilligan for the “Who gives a sh*t” approach to most everything. I agree with bfrankphoto in that the professor never lost weight, but then again, neither has Hurley on Lost. Too many Papaya’s I think. Gotta stop, starting to digress.

    Liked them all actually.

wow GV just saw you on systm nice cameo and June 23rd means what?

  25. June 6, 2008

    Robert Howells

QOTD- Mr.Howell is my favorite character on Gilligan’s Island
