Templeton Rye, prohibition recipe whiskey. Never tried a rye based whiskey before and wow, is it good. The nose kinda smells like pickle juice.

I’ve been drinking SUR 2006 Cabernet-Merlot blend…9 bones, definitely worth it…but I just bought the last bottle available up here in Albany :(

Also recently came back from LI with a case of Macari 2007 early harvest chardonnay…probably the near last of that too.

QOTD: Not drinking a whole lot right now with the prices of everything going up so much recently. Will definitely look for the Rosenblum.

QOTD: Mass market i know but today, it’s the Weighbrdige 2005 Peter Leighman Shiraz. After a long day and crazy workload, i just want an easy glass of wine and the club clover always does me right.

    LuvsChandon

I’ll have to seek out that Rosenblum, had some friends just enjoy it too at their tasting room in Alameda,CA.

QOTD: I’m almost excusively drinking Spanish and Rhone varietals, mostly grown in CA…Viognier, Verdelho, Monastrell, Grenache. Lovin’ it all.

Great show on a varietal I have not yet tried. I will search this out now.

QOTD: Big on Argentina Malbecs. Great QPR in stores and in restaurants.

QTOD: I have really been enjoying Chilean sauv’s and chard’s. I just find them to have so much flavour and balance for their price point.

Got a couple bottles at the house I’m eager to try. My mom brought me an 05 Bordeaux from her trip to France and I also have a white made in Wisconsin that I haven’t had before.

QOTD- I’ve been drinking Rhone and Spanish blends – I got a wine from your shop called Caracol Serrano Jumilla. Monstrell (60%) Cabernet Sauvignon(20%) and Syrah(20%) for seven bones this is a solid wine. I am getting ready tonight to crack open a Gigondas after work. It’s decanting now.

GV: Good show and like to see PS represent. I do have the Original Wristband but am missing the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
QOTD: I have been drinking alot of Shiraz lately with steak with a little after dinner port to please my PAL.

Petit Sirah is one of my favorite wines next to Meritage.

Oh yeah, I have all wristbands excepts #3…not sure how I missed that one??

    Robert C from Prison

Yes, I be sporting my first gen wrist band, actually my foot & a half tall vintage 1960’s Lowenbrau Lion wares it in my office.

Petite you say, found a gem from Lodi Ca of all places. Lodi generally produces over the top fruit bombs in my taste, but the 2006 Inheritance is very impressive at 11.99 found at Trader Joes.
Polished chocolate, Mocha & black fruit with a good backbone. I generally cannot find many wines at Traders that impress me, but this rocked my socks off & all my friends.
Bottle package looks like $$ Cali cult wine, not that makes a diff, but I definitly feel the wine lives up to the $$ package.

  21. August 21, 2008

    Carlitos

    I have the original writband.

QOTD. Ah, so many wines, so little space. A bit of everything. More whites and roses than I used to. Some Muscadets, Bordeaux rose, white Rhones… Mixing it up a bit.

I hope your “Thank you” section improves going forward. Today’s kind of implied that whoever’s left in Bielorus only has two options, to either die or go to jail, which I find a bit offensive. Maybe you can think ahead what you want to say or how you want to say it.

QOTD – Edenvale Pinot Noir, William James Chardonnay, Albarinos & Sav Blanc

I remember the Foppiano PS used to be a lot better, about 12 years ago

I have the original wristband, no other versions!

Lately, it has been Semillon from Amavi Cellars in Walla Walla…I keep getitng lucky enough that is.

Great show Gary, I don’t think I have spent much time wth PS, but I am excited to try it again!! I also liked the bit of education on the grape itself – feel free to do more of that!! Really good show.

QOTD: I have fallen back into Tempranillo and Grenache for a bit. Argentina is rocking my world right now!! I have to admit that I am looking around to see where I am going next, I am ready for a change.
