Damn. I thought it was a competition with my “4″

Best wine from Chile I’ve ever tasted is the Don Melchor. Pretty standard answer but not had many Chilean wines.

    Hello Vino

Two favorite things about this episode:

    1) Big ass glass
    2) Blind tasting (always fun)

QOTD: Fav Chilean wine: Carmenere from Maipo (with a little Gorgonzola)

Blind tasting format is working very well. Maybe you should do one a week for a while?

I love the blind format, and I love the new side of the desk. It is good to mix it up.

And dang, let’s hear it for California!

QOTD: I had some gigundo Carmenere from Chile at a steakhouse once, and it was nice with the food. I can’t recall the name.

Don’t drink much Chilean wines but I do remember drinking a Veramonte SB in 2000 that was simply delicious amongst a bunch of wine geeks at a friends house. I think it was the 1997 or 98 vintage.

I love the cut-in with your prediction. You should start doing more of that, then look back and see how accurate you were. Love the blind tastings.
