I’m thinking that GV should come up with a rating computer matrix that shows if you like A, B, and C, then you will probably like D. I have watched Kevin on Digg for quite awhile and respect his opinion because it parallels mine in many respects. Would save everyone a lot of money if you two brain trusts could mesh together and come up with something that would enable me to say I like this wine and this wine and this wine and I should, by percentage comparison, like this. I would pay for something like that because it would save me money on trying a $35 bottle that I think tastes like paint thinner mixed with vinegar.

    Thanks again guys. Very entertaining.

…and for all the haters, every single time I’ve been in SF with my friend Roger, we always wear the hoodies and the caps. Its just something that you get used to in the morning. Spend three weeks in San Francisco and you’ll miss your standard outfit and a nice breakfast in an outside diner.

Answer: Brita Water. Corny, but there’s only so much plastic to go around.

QOTD: Aloe Vera juice that you can purchase from many asian markets. Would be great to add to your palate if you’ve had wines or encounter a wine with a eucalyptus/ medicinal nose. Maybe buy this juice and aloe vera gel for sun burns so you have the chance to add both the taste and smell of this plant to your palate. :)

PS: I have been a lurker for quite sometime, I really “dig” your show and you have inspired me to seek out new and old jems. In the past few days I’ve sifted through the first 200 episodes and a few recent.

This was a great show, one of my favorites so far (others are with your dad).

I am a fan of digg/diggnation and is where I actually heard about your show. About a year or two ago. And to be honest, back then I watched an ep and thought you were a bit to Thunderous for me. But, I now watch around 5-10 epz a day trying to learn as much as I can and have also ordered my first wineclub pack (cant wait to see whats in it!).

So I want to give you a big thanks for what you do, and if there is a wine I come across I think may not be for me I’m going to give it another chance like I did tho show, and may end up loving it as well.

I haven’t looked at Gary’s shows in over a year, so I’m catching up.

The guest for this show was likable, smart, and cool. And I agreed with everything he said about food and wine. This is the first time I’ve seen someone who seems to share my exact palate. Good show. Gary’s got some cool friends. I don’t get over to Digg enough, I didn’t know the owner was this cool.

Kevin was great, the whole show was great.
Gary can you try to get some more Web 2.0 guests on. I’d love to see you and Leo Laporte get together for a tasting.

This was an excellent show – I really enjoyed Kevin and Gary’s interactions and for a relative newbie – Gary was right – Kevin kicked it big time. Nice job, Kev!

QOTD: Frankly, I like a nice sparkling water – Pellagrino, Saratoga, Badoit,…

This was a great episode. A lot better than yesterdays show. Kevin brings a lot of energy, whereas the guests from yesterday seemed flat. Nice to see him getting his palate worked on, too. Another Jedi into the fold! QOTD: Bolthouse Farms juice drinks. 100% juice and they just taste great. My favorites are the Berry Blast and Blue Goodness. Drink a glass of that and an egg bagel from Noah’s and Im good to go run a few miles!

QOTD – Goji rooibos tea that I picked up at a tiny shop in Chinatown in Montreal. It’s got dried raspberries and five-spice peppercorns in it, too. Amazing stuff!

Monster Lo Carb, they put it in the vending and I think I’m hooked.

Love the honesty in Kevin. Usually guest are a little hesitant in their opinion…It’s usually- Gary: “You getting a little car exhaust with lime and apple sauce on the back-end??” Guest…”Uh..yeah…a little.”
Kevin rocked it. Didn’t like it..said it. Great guest.

QOTD: Tropicana Pure Premium. Can’t get enough of this classic.

QOTD: For teas, I’m a sucker for any Genmaicha or Jasmine Pearl when it comes to greens. Also, fresh lavender lemonade comes to mind, most notably from Currant Restaurant in San Diego, where I was first tried it. Tight!

I always say this whenever I haven’t watched in a while, but I always come back to the best guests! Great episode, I’ve got some catching up to do…

QOTD: I’m really big into water these days. And I really love spicy V8 with a twist of lemon or lime.

Awesome episode, definitely going to try and find the dessert wine (Gary I see you’re already back to using the term). I’m kind of curious about Sancerre rose, one because I love Sancerre, and two because until this episode I had never even heard of it. Too bad this one wasn’t great but I would like to see you find one that does bring the thunder.

qotd – I got a juicer for Christmas and since then have been throwing whatever I can think of in it and making fresh squeezed juice blends. Most recent, blood oranges with a little bit of pineapple to balance the tartness.

Awesomeness brought once again. My thanks.

    QOTD: Elmer’s Glue.
