A great episode and a wonderful guest. It is so refreshing to see a athlete of Mr. Gretzky’s stature reaching out and trying to give back to the community. So often we do not hear of these efforts, I know there are other former and present athletes doing this but for whatever reason the media chooses not to publish these important acts.

Have not heard of the “99″ wines but rest assured I will look and try them when possible.

QOTD – Don’t think so. We are seeing the end result of purchasing talent and not building a team.

Usually, when seeing a “high-profile” name on a bottle, I will stay away, but it sounds like Wayne’s integrity is showing with these. I’ll buy these whenever I can find them

QOTD: Even though I am a Yankee fan and hope they would win, I’m not feelin’ it this year.

Loved the show. Wayne, you’re a real down to earth kinda guy. The wines seem great–not like most of the celeb wines. Gary, make them available to us, even though I wouldn’t mind making the trip out to the Niagara region.

Wow, what an amazing show. We all know you are the wine guru but its awesome to see the sports side come out for an episode. I’m sure you have received this request a million times but I would love to see Namath on the thunder show. I’ve been lucky enough to meet him a few times and I think he would make an amazing guest. The Great One is the man and I will be on the lookout for his Napa Cab.

Great show with the great one! Sound quality leaves a little bit to be desired. I know this was not your typical video set-up, but hey, i work in sound so i had to leave a comment on that. But a great show and with the greatest hockey player of all time and his wines being that good (i trust you taste and honesty Gary) Good insight on hockey, wich i love (go Canadians!) I think i’m probably getting all these wines since i’m from Montreal Canada. I will definitely give them a try. Pretty wise move on Wayne’s part to invest into quality winemaking. Unfortunetaly, i think it’s not the same with every celebrity, like Dan Akroyd, for instance, wich i’ve heard that the wines he puts his name on aren’t that great. Never tried them, though.

Great show again!

Wow!!! The Great One on WLTV….I was so blown away I am giving my first comment ever on WLTV…Didn’t know you where a Ranger fan, Gary!! Glad to hear it..I was in the store last week talking to your guys in the cheese area about hockey and Gretzky. His total career points is the most amazing stat in all of sports…even if he didn’t score one single goal he still is the all-time leader in career points!! Think about that…Lets go Rangers.-Tony

OUTSTANDING! Never saw the show before but when I got an e-mail saying Wayne was on this episode I had to watch. Wayne was great and the whole show was a lot of fun!
When will his wines be available at the Wine Library?
Wayne, I’m a lifelong Yankee fan but I’m sorry, the yanks won’t win the series this year. They’ve lost the formula that won their recent championships with GREAT pitching and team chemistry.
