line of the day -‘The French are the only people who have fought every war for the last 2000 years …and have lost them all.’

Guest very knows his stuff and is a legend in the wine world but his manner of speaking is slightly annoying. If he stuck to the facts and didn’t try to be a comedian I think I’d have enjoyed him a lot more.

You’re right, Gary. I’ve never seen you with anyone, except maybe your hilarious father, where you didn’t steal the show, but move over, Daniel Schuster inhabits the same world. This guy is GREAT! He knows about wine, he knows about life, and in spite of his self-deprecating comments, I think he knows a lot about women too. Have him on again ANYTIME, and this is not to take away from the enormous love and enthusiasm that I have for you. Enjoyed these two episodes ENORMOUSLY.

  • neat guy, folks that don’t remember 1969 probably just don’t have good enough stories for the year… he’s probably full of it, but great accent, great stories… what else do you want? GREAT guest. When he opened up about the wines – oh, he had me on fish! I like characters anyday over cool cats. He covered nicely when you left, a natural! Glad you held your own with him, after all, this is your show. ha.

Glad you allowed this to be two parts. I think you two should go on the road or write a book. I can think of some good titles….

WOW! Great guest! I would like to party with that guy! He likes the same music as me, loves the ladies, and seems to love to drink wine (not spit it!).

    Hi Gary /Danny
Your Danny S interview was refreshing.
I live Canterbury NZ and have meet Danny a few times over the years 1st in the late 70s (Big Village). He is a good guy his mother likes him. But his wines are a even better story.
Dannys wines are destintive, Yes they are NZ wines but they have that mature taste that reflects Danny open mind and his back ground.Top marks good interview.Keep up the good work Danny.
PS.Danny say hi to Mari from me
    Kind regards
