    Hi Gary /Danny
Your Danny S interview was refreshing.
I live Canterbury NZ and have meet Danny a few times over the years 1st in the late 70s (Big Village). He is a good guy his mother likes him. But his wines are a even better story.
Dannys wines are destintive, Yes they are NZ wines but they have that mature taste that reflects Danny open mind and his back ground.Top marks good interview.Keep up the good work Danny.
PS.Danny say hi to Mari from me
    Kind regards

Danny is one of the most charismatic wine guys you will ever meet, his knowledge and ability as a raconteur are equalled by his generosity. You MUST visit his winery in Waipara ! AS for his wines……….superb ! I consider myself very lucky to know Danny personally, he and wife Mari are two of the nicest people you will meet, period ! Come to New Zealand, drink great wine, meet great people ! Cheers !!

Hi Danny … enjoyable interview … remember those “boring” German wines (Fantastic Vintages ‘71 & 76)and Avalon tastings of San Marino,Babich,Nobilo, Villa Maria, Corban’s, Mission, McWilliam’s and Montana … Best regards, Richard.

He reminds me of the guy from the dos equis commercial… “I don’t always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer dos equis~” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2SSZA0CjdQ)

WOW! Great guest! I would like to party with that guy! He likes the same music as me, loves the ladies, and seems to love to drink wine (not spit it!).

neat guy, folks that don’t remember 1969 probably just don’t have good enough stories for the year… he’s probably full of it, but great accent, great stories… what else do you want? GREAT guest. When he opened up about the wines – oh, he had me on fish! I like characters anyday over cool cats. He covered nicely when you left, a natural! Glad you held your own with him, after all, this is your show. ha.

Glad you allowed this to be two parts. I think you two should go on the road or write a book. I can think of some good titles….

You’re right, Gary. I’ve never seen you with anyone, except maybe your hilarious father, where you didn’t steal the show, but move over, Daniel Schuster inhabits the same world. This guy is GREAT! He knows about wine, he knows about life, and in spite of his self-deprecating comments, I think he knows a lot about women too. Have him on again ANYTIME, and this is not to take away from the enormous love and enthusiasm that I have for you. Enjoyed these two episodes ENORMOUSLY.

Daniel is an intersting character if you can understand what he’s saying.
It was kind of hard to decify his Mumbling……..

WOW. Extremely charismatic, knowledgeable, charming guest. I really can’t wait to watch more… which means that the G-man was on the money with his initial prediction about this man. Kudos and cheers.

Thanks for having Daniel on the show. I may need to watch it again so I pick up all of his sayings and use them myself.

On another note Gary a thankyou for giving Daniel the opportunity to speak instead of being a little bossy during the interview/discussion. It is good to hear a well educated/traveled/experienced speak freely.

    Come on Gary.
Be honest you were about to dis Daniel for where he started a winery if he didn’t give a sound reason. Watching the show with a friend and we both said who is Gary to have any amount of negativity in question to Daniel Schuster about New Zealand. Please be honest with yourself Gary the last thing the wine world needs is another to big for his boots wine guys seperating themselves from the general drinking public
