This is a great BBQ wine, and a great QPR. Nose was very Italian, pointing to a dry and slightly earthy wine. Dark fruit and earth make up the flavor profile. Some white pepper, but mostly good fruit. Drink over the next 3 years...AMM

Didn't get the Thanksgiving Secret Pack this year, but it all sounded good to me. Thanks for everything, Gary, Mott and the whole Wine Library crew.

QOTD: I am thankful for each day the Lord gives me and for the ridiculous abundance of blessings that he has bestowed upon me.
  • Justin B
Finally tried the Primitivo. It is very old world on the nose and palate. It is a good wine, just not my thing... too barnyard, smokey, and stinky for me. But for those that love the 'countryside' of the old world, you'll love it.

I didn't look to see if someone else said this but.....

In German Leitz would be pronounced "lites" so the wine would in affect be called Lights Out. Kinda cheesey.

QOTD: Thanksful for so much, but the first thing that comes to me is my family's health. So thankful for that.

    Hi Gary,
I've been watching you for 14 or 15 months now and try not to miss an episode. I've wanted so badly to taste along with you for many months and finally got to do it this week!!! Because I'm in MI, I had the wine shipped to my parents in OH then brought the contraband back to MI to share with friends. We sat down Sat night and tasted along with you . . . we had a BLAST!! It took us almost 2 hours to get through the podcast. You have some new fans and we are already looking forward to your holiday package. Thank you for making wine so much fun!!

    Blessings!!!!

I'm watching on Monday! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, Gary and everyone! Mine was great--the food, the people, and definitely the wine too.
  • Chalz
    Primitivo was spectacular
  • As a riesling lover it is great to see your support for german riesling. leitz ist indeed an extraordinary winemaker. in fact the leitz "out" is by far not the best riesling leitz produces. he had some bad years weatherwise, but still manages to make great wines.
  • Rowiebabe
What a great show! I wish we had Thanksgiving in Australia! Sounds like a such an important occasion,I hope one day I can experience it.
Personally, I am grateful for all good American things that have come my way in the last 18 months since I started playing an online game called Travian,on a U.S.Server nearly two years ago. This game was the catalyst of many a great foreign friendship, and finally culminated in a six week East Coast US trip in September this year. What a wonderful experience! I think it is true to say it has changed my life for the better, in quite amazing ways :)
  • Befh
    It's true, we love it.
  • Beeper
Now I'm really wishing you could ship here...

    QOTD: same here, family.
  • Yes, there must be mashed potatoes "and" sweet potatoes!

QOTD: Playing Euchre with my family after the big meal and going up to get 7ths and 8ths from the leftovers.
  • I am thankful for GARY VAYNERCHUK!
  • Another great show. I didn't hear you had a secret pack, first one iever missed. dang. The neighbors will kill me! ahhhhhhh.

    QOTd:
  • omg I love stuffing tho I am going to have to side with Gary and not Mott on this one, straight stuffing no meats no bacons maybe a little sage and turkey goodness but nothing else.

Enjoying this show on asunday with a bottle of Alsace Crement no Dose really solid [2007 Domaine Barmes Buecher]
  • Julie McKee
    Gary,
I'm three-quarters through your book and I LOVE IT! Thought I'd check you out online. Very Real! And I'll be trying the Botromagno Primitivo with the last quarter of the book! Thanks for the inspiration.
    Julie
  • I'm thankfull for being alive; my spirit is finally flying. The events of this year taught me a lot about life, love and true happiness. Stay positive, and keep smiling.
  • Missed out on this pack. Will have to keep my eyes out for the next one! Great taste along idea. Happy Thanksgiving Gary.

QOTD - I am thankful for living in the USA where we can try and fail; try again and succeed at whatever we want without fear of persecution. Thanks to our great military!

Couldn't get the secret pack this year, but it looks like it was a good one. I hope your Thanksgiving was a great one GV. Thanks for continually pumping out the content and the fun.

QOTD: I'm thankful for my family and for the opportunities I have had thus far in my life.

    Keep it real.
  • Jim S.
    Gary,

My 3rd comment...while having leftovers we're drinking the Riesling. OUTSTANDING! This is the best of the pack so far (we cellared the St. Emillion). FYI, I took German in High School and I believe you pronounce the second vowel, not the first. So Leitz isn't pronounced "Leetz", it's pronounced "Lights". So the wine is "Lights Out"...get it? :)
