Hilarious!!!! I take it the beer was good?

Love Thundercats, nice work! Do you wear a Thundercats shirt when you teach on Thursdays? If so, simply amazing.

  • Don Simpson

My credit card got struck by Thunder & Lightning when I stocked up on wine Friday for the BLIZZARD this weekend. This is incredible… we might we 25+ inches (terrible wine score, amazing snow score)

  • Don Simpson

ZRM – I'm in Virginia too (Arlington) and this is INCREDIBLE!!!! I have a 4×4 Tacoma so it will be interesting to see if I can drive it around. I'm not going anywhere until the snow stops. What are you thinking, 25-30 inches?

  • zrm

I am in the Piedmont so the snow here is lighter. But its 15 inches and rising.

I don't think people eat more. We just like feeling safe and secure. The same reason why we have insurance. When you are in a bad spot you want to have something to fall back on.

i have to agree that rober denogent is a badass producer.

QOTD: I really need to start bringing more thunder…
Thanks for the small tour of WL, always fun when you do something different on the show:)

Kermit Lynch is a legend – truly understands. That's all I have to say.

  • MarcBelgium

Very nice show. At first I thought, oh, Saint Veran, that's boring. But no, I'm wrong. Just after watching the show I ordered 24 bottles of the Denogent. Very curious about it.

    QOTD.

  • alaskadevil

good episode. i'll have to check out 541, learning new things always brings thunder.

  • Looked at episode 541 as well…intense! It's a good thing you put all kinds of easy-to-relate-to words in there, because it's nigh to learning a new language…

Thunder? Thunder without heavy pelting rain is lame. I'm a bit like Kate in The…Shrew: I just want to take all women by the ears and bring them to their knees…I hate the way all women talk about men behind their backs (or in front of their backs)…I bring thunder anywhere I go.

  • fatherthechair

Awesome episode, informative and hilarious. Definitely keep up the references to other episodes. QOTD– produced a track for a film my friend is working on.

  • DAveAll

    Go Saints! wow.
Good show, nice to mix it up with two different glasses. Good wines, I enjoy them.

    QOTD: ……… brought thunder?

  • Great show! Nice to see the inner workings of the office haha. Can't wait to go out and try to find these wines!

  • KVM1985

QOTD: Going to the wedding of one of my very dearest friends last night brought “serious thunder.”

  • QOTD: Friday night was “date night” with my beautiful bride… and there was thunder!

  • ewb

Great show. I have been waiting for another St. Veran episode. Now how about a Vire Clesse AOC episode.

  • Nik_B

Just tried to find the Denogent in the UK, but no luck.

  • Seth

QOTD: Got my nose broken officiating an Ice Hockey game. Then officiated two more games right after. Serious Thunder

  • QOTD: I had a baby last Wednesday! Obviously my wife had her, but becoming a Dad for a 2nd time brings a lot of thunder!

  • norbrook

Qotd: helped the owner of the wine shop where I work with a big walk around wine tasting, everyone was happy, shop had sales to rival a holiday, exhausting but thunderific.

  • RobinC

I really want a St. Veran wine.
QOTD: I made a great romaine, broccoli, and granny smith apple salad with a wonderful vinaigrette (a little sweet with maple syrup) but no one would try it (super bowl Sunday). It's sort of sad to feel that you have brought the thunder, but no one else will ever know it. I guess it happens a lot to wineries who don't have much in the way of P.R.

  • This was a great episode, thanks GV….I loved those white erasers back in the day.

QOTD: Hmmmm I'll have to keep this one PG…..probably helping a good friend out who was in a real tight spot last week.

Ok Gary. Your liking the comments, but here is my question: how to I “re-capture” all the comments I've made (for years) to be reflected in my comment count?

  • Mike in C-town

I've been transferring all my thunder to you Gary. Hopefully you will have absorbed enough soon and will be able to quit your brooding over the J-E-T-S.

I also drove someone home who had too much vino. Thanks for Spengler for driving me back to my car. Oops, that should have been “Spanks”.

  • bachus'n'ariadne

love episodes that feature wallet-friendly-wines(WFWs)….thanx gary!!

  • jcrazy

Erm. There may be kids watching so I'll keep it clean but it involved nakedness and my girl.

  • sara l

Gar, what, I didn't get a shout out on the eraser thing?

  • barwarrior

I was one of several winners of a contest hosted by Sprint. My prize? Receiving a phone call from Mark Sanchez. In the conversation, the topic of wine came up. He said that he is “too young to enjoy wine.” I think you should invite him to be a guest and change his mind.

  • DCaragher

Rainman – Good show…keep up the niche type material!

QOTD: I did some serious hot tubbing last weekend and I would say I brought it some thunder, plus I killed some mountains too!

  • boughtrecords

The last thing I did that brought THUNDER was held my 1 month old baby girl! I do so many things, and I pretty much only do things that I love but nothing compares to taking care of my family!

  • jsums

Good show. QOTD – Watching the Colts win the AFC championship in person. Sorry, dude. It just was.

  • pawncop

Thank you for a very good episode – I am always looking for good Chardonnay. Like you I am not a big fan of the overoaked products from California.

QOTD – What brought the thunder was work related – taking care of a really sick child and making the interventions that helped keep the child alive until the situation was resolved.

  • lawrenceleichtman

Got a new job. I have had St. Veran that I didn't like because they had a fake taste to them.Maybe with these, I will like them better.
