I am reading a Carl Hiassen novel called “Skinny Dip”. If you’ve ever been to Florida, you HAVE to read some Hiassen. Classic. Funny, dark, interesting character-driven stories.

I just had the 2003 Pieve Del Vescovo Piovano last night. Loved it for an everyday drinker. I’m getting a bit sick of the fruit bombs everyday and this would match up with a bunch of different foods. I totally got the cheese on the nose too. good call. I think I may finally break down and start exploring Italian wines.

Finally opened that Rocky Creek Zin bottle. Gary says “Smooth … rich … polished … silky … well-made.” I thought it was quite harsh and bitter. This is just the opposite of polished and silky to me. My score is 77.
