GV, Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family. My latest case arrived exactly six hours ago, so I should be set for tomorrow (and maybe Friday). Especially looking forward to the Clio.

And after watching scenes from that cathedral you call a wine shop, I may have to schedule a “business meeting” somewhere in the greater NY/NJ metro area soon. Only three hours from Providence…

HAPPY TURKEY DAY ALL! Gary, my thanks is offered to you and yours. You have added happiness to many of us. You, and a lot of us, are changing the wine world.

Thanks so much for putting this together for us Gary. It was nice to come back to my computer after welcoming family, setting up the guest rooms, cooking dinner, baking cornbread for tomorrow’s stuffing, baking 2 pumpkin pies, brining my turkey and washing the dishes . . . and see you there with a new episode!

One of the things I am thankful for this year, is you Gary – and WLTV. Your video blog, your enthusiasm, and the web community you helped create have been really enjoyable and educational — and I want you to know that your efforts have done a lot more than just sell wine.

All the best to you and your family!

    Gary,

The place was bustling on Thanksgiving Eve as evidenced by the parking lot. I like the guy with the Stoli Blueberry best. You should hire him for Wine Library TV.

Turkey Flat… I mean relaly c’mon… it is like sooo commercial and ‘fake’? I can’t stand most of the NWW Rose wines. I used to drink in New Zealand a Chateau Verez from Peter Maude Fine Wines in Auckland (great guy!) if there are any Kiwi’s on the list! It was a classic Rose for NZD 20 (USD 13.50) and it would kick the beeehind of the Turkey Flat. If you also want to try another NWW Rose I’d go for the Earthworks Rose. Not sure if you get the Rose over there or not. I am sure GV can get it for you…

Matt from Barossa, you sound like the guy that really liked Nirvana until they became popular. Just because a lot of a particular wine is made and available doesn’t mean it isn’t any good.

Nice ending, Gary, always make them wanting more! Enjoyed the overview of the store on what is probably one of your busiest days. For those of you local, you must go see it, it’s awesome! Happy Thanksgiving to all.

John, nope I’m not that guy I have always liked Nirvana popular or not. And I’d have to say I’m a fan of Grange too even though they bottle over 1 million bottles of it per year. I have tried the Turkey Flat and just have to disagree with GV’s review. I think he was just in a good mood with Thanks Giving and all. No harm doen just think that it would have been interesting to put it up against some of the other NWW Rose wines available out there…

My favorite phone trick is when telemarketers call..I souind interested for 20 seconds and the say “hold on a second” I set the phone down next to my radio on the easy listening station then I go back to what i was doing and just leave it there.

My family is goofy in the head sometimes, I brought bottles of both recemended thansgiving wines and most of my family prefered there box franza chard…..grrrr. They thought the Schadler Gewurztraminer Spatlese Ruppertsberger was too sweet and the gravity hills zin went great with my dinner but most of them figured white meat = white wine. The couple of us who know better really enjoyed both of these wines and I will buy both again.

    “what exactly is a vegetle?”

smell of green vegitables…brochli, apseragus ect.

I most notice this smell when opening a back of baby green salad or walking down the produce asle in the super market

Fair enough. I haven’t had any, so who am I to judge. I just get annoyed at people that like something until others find out about it and they it isn’t cool anymore. I’d be interested in some of those Rose’s you speak of, if any are available in the US.
