    Great episode.

QOD: on my living room couch with my feet up. That’s how the Model lives.

Eli stinks I am now going to become a J E T fan, what has this world come to!!! Top 10 though 🙂

  • K Spengler

All our drinking of wine happens at a dinner table, home, friends home, or out at one of the fabulous restaurants we frequent. My opinion is wine is never complemented more than when it’s paired with food. Eat and drink on…

You have REALLY piqued my interest in the Garretson. I love big wines like that.

You had me on the floor when you made the old school / new school analogy to Run DMC and Kanye West. Hilarious! 😀

Thanks for the special offer on the bags.

QOTD: The majority of time I enjoy wine at home in two spots. 1) At the dinner table; or 2) on the sofa while relaxing with my family. I don’t drink wine out too much unless I am in the company of other wine drinkers and we go for a bottle.

Hey Gary…as you know Christmas is coming up soon. Would you consider doing an episode(s)on gifting wine? Perhaps your recommendation for a good wine in different price categories. Maybe a best gift bang for your buck episode.

    Great ep Gary.

QOD: Most drinking is done around the kitchen “breakfast bar” area, or in the living room listening to “chill-out” music, or while at the computer, watching WLTV, of course.

  • Most o fmy gets tasted in the kitchen or out on the back deck when the weather is nice.
Pat Benatar and now Frankie Valle. Gary, are you stuck in decades of ’60 and ’80?
The Garretson has piqued my interest as well but I’m not sure about buying a lot of 8-10 year holders at this point.
The bags look like great gifts thanks for the offer.

I would assume you saw Jersey Boys- is that what peaked the interest in Mr. Valle

    265 equals my weight-if I skip breakfast

    QOD:
I drink my wine here or there
    I drink my wine anywhere
I drink my wine in a boat
I had wine that smelled like a goat

I drink my wine in the rain
I drink my wine on a train

I do not drink my wine out of a box
or wine with a label that has a fox

I drink my wine in my house
and with grapes that may have been crushed with a mouse

I do not like the Jets at all
except when Gary gives free shipping for all

(Sorry if there is a duplicate comment here My computer wigged out)

Ever have the Davis Family syrah? That’s what your take on the Garretson reminded me of–good god, what a monster. Wonderful stuff, just exploding with blackberries and chocolate, but it pretty much beat everything else into submission.

QOTD: right here in the front room if it’s just me, on the porch if it’s summer, or across the hall with the neighbors, where we’re popping the Cuvee Constance with dinner tonight, in commemoration of a few days off between roadtrips (have to go see the other half of the family in TX yet).

Great episode. Cool offer on the wine bag. Will pick up a few.

QOTD – 95% of the time I drink my wine in the living room. The other 5% is between restaurants and at WL. 😉

QOD – when drinking at home, it’s either in the kitchen at the table or family room, relaxing on the couch – no walking around allowed. We only drink reds so I am always nervous about spills.

Thanks for tasting the sequoia – just bought some – will wait a while to drink it.

Gary I drink my wine at the little table in our living room while eating dinner with my gal. Or even more fun while I am cooking dinner.

BTW as to that screwcap on the New Zealand SB, there is also a possibiltity that wines get TCA from the winery as well as the cork.. I have had corked tasting wines under screwcap.. However I’m sure that wine was not corked.

By the way Served the Lagler Gruner Veltliner that you sell at thanksgiving as well as the Novelty Hill Syrah. Everybody loved them. The gruner is as good as some I have had at Twice the Price. I also served that falling Tractor Zin, and the Starry Night Zin.. they were real crowd pleasers. I normally would serve old world style reds too. But the majority of the people at this particular dinner were “new worldies”. and I of course love all styles of wine from super austere Loire to That crazy Syrah that you tasted. The more flavors in the world, the better as far as I’m concerned.
