Gary, long time fan, first time reply. I am also a die hard Jets fan. The game was a lot closer than the score suggests. We gotta be proud of our boys this year. Next year we will go even further. If only we were in the NFC instead of AFC, no one could stop us then. When I am down I like a big glass of Whiskey and then another to chase it down. Hang in there man.

We now live north of Pittsburgh, but remain Pats fans, from the 15 years we lived in New England. The game was a lot closer than the score; your Jets scared the (fill-in-you-own-expletive-here) out of us Pats fans, and would have been deserving victors had they won. Your health is good; you have an enjoyable vocation that benefits others; things could be worse. Nonetheless, I sympathize with you (heck, I’ve been a Raiders fan since the late sixties–you should be consoling me!). Thanks for your terrific contributions to my wine education and enjoyment.

I give episode 161 an 82. The vaynerchuk was not nearly as impressive, or as oakey as the VAY-NER-CHUKS I have seen at other times.

QOTD: No such thing as sad wine, because wine is bottled joy. When the going gets tough, the tough drink Wild Turkey out of the bottle. Or maybe a really big Simpsons cup. Wouldn’t hurt to have a beer or two or three along with it either.

Just got to see the sad episode – been out celebrating the PATS win.
I almost felt sorry for Gary.
But then I realized it’s just a game and just another season gone by.
But then again, I’m a PATS fan.

Wait’ll next year! (Oh, sorry for stealing that from the Cubbies). I really like Petite Sirah. I picked up a few Concannon bottlings from the 2000 vintage last year and recently popped one. It was terrific with great rich berry flavors and good tannins. I’m going to wait a couple of more years to pop the next one. Yummy wine. All the best, Jim
