    39 days so far this year. $12, hmmm. . . I had a glass of Domaine Tempier Rose at Chez Panisse that was that much. But for a bottle at $12 the best has been a 2004 Champalou Vouvray Cuvee des Fondraux; ripe and delicious with wonderful acidity that kept me coming back.

  • QOTD – probably either a Qupé Syrah (Bien Nacido vineyard) 2003, or a rather inexpensive Juan Gil Jumilla 2004 (both bought at WL, but I’ve been sitting on the Qupé for a little while. Anyone had the Jumilla? haven’t seen Gary rate any….
