I am pretty new to wine and remember having the jugs of wine around when my parents had dinner parties. Don’t remeber trying any myself.

Didn’t know what chablis was until this episode. Almost positive I have never had jug chablis.

By the way, I drank tons of Almaden “Chablis” in my college days. It was mostly chenin blanc, and the nearest thing (in price) to everyday generic white wines of Europe, but nothing like the real thing. I first tried real Chablis in France in the early 80s.

No jug Chablis for me, GV. I didn’t discover wine till late in life. I was beer and coctail drinker primarily in college.

Thanks for the freebie, Gary. I will be buying the middle two Chablis you reviewed with this order along with a couple of Wolf Traps and a Mabileau Bourgeuil St. Nicolas ’05 and an Aries Los Carneros Merlot ’01.

QOTD- Never purchased jug wine. My parents however (back in the day) used to buy Lancers Rose in that funky little terra cotta bottle (‘lil jug). I’m happy to report they have evolved since then.
