    I think they changed their label due to the new California labeling laws- which means you cant lie to the consumer like your hero MR. Shaw would do.

  • QOTD: As a reward for being one of their more frequent buyers, a local wine store invited me to attended a distributor (Glunz) wine tasting. Afterwards he told me I could order anything in the distributor catalog for the cost price. One case of wine, for example, retailed for $21/bottle. Buying a case they cost me $13/bottle. I’ll take that deal anytime.

    Wow, what can I say, you really went that extra mile in tasting the TJ wine collection. I gotta wonder what “furlescent” means (description of the Shiraz?).

    QOD: Best bargain, hmm a toughie, I’d have to say getting umpteen cases of Kenwood Table Red at something like 50% off for my wedding (wife was a grower for them, ya know).

    I felt bad for ripping TJ pretty bad on the forum a month or so ago so I bought a bottle…and quickly poured it out. It’s not wine. Maybe I’ll give the shiraz a try at some point…if my wife and I lose both of our jobs or something.

    Best Bargain: $135 non-stop, roundtrip flight from Phoenix to Atlanta.

    QOTD: Perhaps the vayniac wristband? I’ve lived my life for a good deal – so it’s just so hard to narrow it down.

    Drinking some CH Lot 24 Syrah right now, and enjoying it… but perhaps anyone can make a good syrah 😉

    Need to try some Shaw in the near future – it’s been on my ‘to drink’ list – even if it kills me. I’m up for an adventure. Just need a Trader Joe’s closer by.
