QOTD – cooking. Old skool (BTW you should have spelled school with a “k’) style. For example – Cast iron pan. Sear it. Pan sauce. Eat. When done right simplicity is king.

Coffee ice cream rocks. Starbucks with chocolate chips is may favorite.

You showed up on time, you worked the number of hours you were obligated, you agreed to what you had contracted to be paid and your employer rewarded you for performance, not mediocrity. Love the show. I’ve had the pleasure of the 90 Suduiraut Sauternes unfortunately. I’d tend to agree with parker on this one. The nose was splendid and I agree with your notes. However when it came to taste, it was a bit too cognacy for my palate. I agree with the brown sugar, mango, but it felt unbalanced with an overly strong alcohol mouth feel, it almost burned. I gave it the 86.

Love the old school review and pulling out some older wines – 2001, 2000 and 1990! Love to drink some wine with a little age – if the wine can take it, it always adds different flavors – however, not sure I’d be looking to throw down $140 on a wine with a bouquet as you described for the Bonnes Mares.

Alsace truely is old school – when my wife and I vistied there, you see wine producers (Hugel, Trimbach, etc.) that have been making wine since the 1600’s.

QOTD: Watches … while a $20 Swatch will keep more accurate time than most $10,000 mechanical watches you have to be impressed with something so small built with hundreds of tiny gears, screws, springs, etc. and they run without a battery.
