Are you still reading comments, GaryVee? I discovered these videos and decided to watch from EP 1! Thanks for the education.
New to wines, so I haven’t yet tried a Barolo.
Read today that cork’d has croaked. LOL! Too bad, but created an account with cellar tracker.

Love the Italian wines, especially from Montalcino and north. Hey Gary, how about an episode on Lange Rosso wines; i.e., baby Barolos that can can be drunk as every day wines with a lower price point.

QOTD: My favorite Italian meal is either pasta with truffles, or Osso Bucco. I am also very fond of the pasta dish we had in Tuscany with hare sauce, for that matter any dish with fresh porcinis.

    Yummers.

GV- great show. I love Barolo (almost as much as Cote Rotie!!). Got a few 99s in my cellar.

QOTD – Veal Milanese -breaded veal cutlet topped with tossed salad and a light white balsamic/dijon dressing. Phenomenal!!

QOTD: My boyfriend makes the most amazing pasta sauce (he calls it gravy), which he learned from watching his grandfather in the kitchen. There are so many different wines to try that I don’t have a standard pairing – I always want to try something new. Haven’t tried Barolo yet, though there’s a new Italian restaurant in Seattle called Barolo. Maybe I’ll try some there. 🙂

    Hi Gary,

What is my favourite Italian meal? Hard to say. So much of what makes Italian food great–and Italian wine, for that matter–is that it lends itself to good conversation and good times. The food and wine is first rate, but doesn’t need to get in your face and say, “look at me, look at me!” Italian food and wine are comfortable with themselves and that lets me get comfortable at the table.

Barolo is an amazing wine. My best experience so far is a Michele Chiarlo (forget the vintage). What would be a lot of fun is a taste off between some Barolo and Barbaresco on WLTV.

Thanks for a great episode. Enjoy SF and Greece.

    Yasu!

    Great Show!
    Three things:
    1) Always have a hard time finding wine you recommneded in the Boston Area – Don’t know if there is anything you can do about this but thought I’d mention it.
    2) Any suuggestions for a Barolo (less than “20 bones”) you can use for a recipe that requires a whole bottle?
    3) Deep down no one really likes bathroom talk (poop etc.) It’s funny for about one minute but really turns off a lot of people – Take it or leave it, but I always take the long view and want you to suceeed.

6 months of WLTV, IVE DRANK WITH YOU IN CHICAGO… and I HAVE YET TO POST A COMMENT. until now! How bad do I suck?!?! Life is good GV. So the QOTD:

Beef Carpacio for an app. Then for the entree… Ive only had this twice in New Orleans at a place called Vincent’s when I was there for college…
Bracialoni – Top round stuffed with bacon, artichoke hearts, garlic and parmesan cheese; baked and topped with red sauce… It is the TOUGHEST meat in the house, but the bacon and cheese just melt into it in essence reconstituting it to something worth chewing on…but very rustic… since I was in college and drinking wine was not cool, I drank the house red with it…was as rustic as my meal and I was a happy man. Now I am in med school and drink petit verdot with my easy mac.

oh yeah… YOU ARE THE BEST GARY. NOT A LITTLE BIT OF YOU, BUT A LOT OF YOU is changing the wine world… and changing people’s lives. My best friend of 10 years calls me twice as much as he use to bc we call to chat about WLTV, and wine. GARY VAYNERCHUK IS THE GREATEST. (how’s that to bring you up? when can we tear you down?)

  • dkeck

    Gary,
You are one crazy guy. Your enthusiasm for wine is way cool.

QOTD: pasta and clams with a red sauce and very spicey sausage spaghetti

    Gary:

I watch every episopde… but on YouTube, so I don’t usually come to this site and do anything, like comment.

*But, you mentioned the college crew so I JUST had to. I studied abroad in Paris when I was 20 and came back with the knowledge of France’s geography to understand their wine labels, but I was suddenly underage again! Bummer, really. Especially since that’s when I began watching this about a year ago. But since turning 21, my friends and I go to tastings and wine bars. I grew up in NY, just graduated from NYU (studio art major), and feel just as comfotatble with a wine list as a pint of Guinness. There is a time and place for each, but it’s so NOT uncool to choose wine instead of a six pack or a 40 to bring to a party. No stigma from my crew at least.

Cheers, congratulations, and feel no guilt for your vacation.

Wow, you did that with an aplomb as if you never did it before……..

It’s a bummer: I’m in SF right now but can’t go to the party. Do come back.

QOTD: Pizza with Rioja as best pairing. Can’t make a call on favorite dish.

Hey Gary, I’ve been away for a month or two, but you were nice enough to answer my email (hope you weren’t “taking a poop” at the time!!) so I decided to check out today’s episode. Holy crap, the page is totally different-but that is cool I like change, and I enjoy the larger screen on the video. I’ve been dying to try a Barolo, but since my wife won’t let me spend 50 “bones” on a bottle of wine I’ve been left in the dark.
    QOTD: Ravioli with Chianti

  • Andrew Zander

Shout out from Washington State University here! Go Cougs!

QOTD: Veal parmesan with Seghesio’s Sangiovese (despite being known for their Zin’s, I think their Sangiovese is their best offering).
