    QOTD: Okay, a short little story here. In May I found myself in a limousine taking my first tour through the Napa valley tasting wine and generally getting happy. In a very good mood, we rolled into a tasting room at…well…I’ll keep the winery confidential just to protect them…let’s just say it rhymes with Clos du Sal. Anyway, we get this snotty “I know everything there is to know about wine…and you don’t” clerk. Not wanting to let this kill my buz…er…mood, I tried to make small talk. I asked said clerk if she’d ever heard of this wine vlog I watched on the internet called WineLibraryTV. Her response, “I guess I don’t have so much time to waste on some [stupid] internet TV show.” (She didn’t actually say stupid…but given her attitude you didn’t have to read minds know she meant it.)

    That being said (thanks for getting that into my vocab GV) who am I going to email with the Time magazine link. That wine snob out at Clos du Val…oops…I mean Sal.

    Congrats to everyone! Not a huge fan of the bubbly either, but I’ll agree with Tom T. that life is a special occaision. I opened a 2000 Marziano Abbona Barbaresco this evening just because it seemed like the right thing to do.

    QOTD: Probably won’t gloat to anyone about the article, but I’ll keep doing my part in the wine revolution by making my friends drink amazing wines they’ve never heard.

    QOTD: emailed the Time magazine article to a my best friend. I have to confess, though, that for us. . . your NPR interview was much more impressive. We both listen to NPR at least once a day, while Time is what we read when waiting at the dentist’s office. Still, mucho impressive!
