“… While walking our dogs and shooting crows on the weekends…”

That’s good stuff. I enjoy Sir Gary – Let’s bring him back to the manor often.

Someone above noted he’s a little French, as portrayed by Boris Karloff and directed by Ed Wood, which all seems about right. Satire + Camp + Wine = Brilliant.

    Great ep.

Hehehehehe. Good chap, that Sir Gary.

QOTD: Right now it’s about 50/50. It’s hard to resist a nice, cool white on a hot summer day. The rest of the year, it’s maybe 65/35 or even 70/30. My mind has really opened up a lot in the past year, though. Used to drink reds 90% of the time, but I’ve discovered a lot of whites that I really enjoy too now, so I usually pick based on whether I’m in the mood for red or white, and what I think will taste good with whatever we’re having for dinner.

I honestly have no idea how you managed to keep a straight face throughout that entire show. You didn’t even crack a smile, even when you had phenomenal wines!

QOTD: I’m more of a white wine drinker, so for me it’s probably 80% white, 20% red.

    Sir Gary,

Great follow up to your earlier show…you’re welcome anytime.

QOTD: 98% Red / 2% White. I like white wine, especially Burgundy and certain Sauvignon Blancs, but I like red much better.

Magic. Gary, you’re classic. I haven’t laughed so hard since my Oxford days- driving around in my Jaguar, throwing pennies at poor people in Portobello market.

I was watching this episode from my yacht, stationed just outside of the Mediterranean Sea, while sipping pomegranate spritzers while my masseuse scratched my back.

65% Red 35% White (due mostly to BdB Champagne)

One of the greatest things in life is to be able to poke fun at yourself…and you have succeeded….congratulations…the cellar runs at about 95% red and 5% white but definitely drinking more whites lately!!!

    Gary,

Come back. We miss you dearly. While I am sure that Sir G has a role to play in helping himself shape the wine world in his own image, we need you to help us shape the wine world in your (our) image. We love Vay-ner-chuk! Especially on Fridays. Nevertheless, great character acting at a time when I am sure you were feeling no pain. If you plan on inviting Sir G back, do it on Mondays when we are all serious, with our business game face on. I need to feel the Thunder at the end of the week.

QOTD: I am probably 10-15% whites, although that is increasing as I learn to appreciate the non-chardonnay, non-pinot grigio (read generic safty wines) varietals. This summer, I am enjoying some rieslings and sauvignon blancs.

Keep up the great work and welcome home.

Lovin’ the elegance hour! Sir Gary is great. It is time the show added some elegance. Here Here my good man! Bravo! I apologize for using exclamation points, that was not very elegant of me.

Reminds me of Frazier Crane and his snivelling brother, Niles. Those were a bit out of my range but fun to see that great wines are there for some day in the future.

QOTD> Probably 50% red and 50% white – love the NZ SBs and that Alsatian Reisling you put us on was very nice indeed.

used to be 100-0 red to white. But now it’s 50/50 every time I go out for wine I make myself get one of each and I always buy something i’ve never had before. I can’t tell you how many white’s i’ve found that I love and I never would have given them a chance before.
