Gary when you do a show on bottle Shock I want you to use a paint shaker on the bottles when filming. I was going to drink some good QPR wines this weekend until watching this episode…….. now i’m drinking my 05 Sea Smoke Southing. Oh yeah – give Jen a t-shirt or something for kool-kid following garnered by her voyeur vaynercopy video.

Gary. I am on Sea Smoke list now for 2 years. I loved the ’04s but find the ’05s HOT….Too Hot. Like drinking Armagnac. Burned the throat. Ten is the worst. Totally Armagnac. I left post in “Ask” about it a month or so ago. I am dissapointed in the ’05s. Will they calm down? I have more bottles that I won’t open hoping the flashes off…will it?

QOTD: Drinking Bourdeaux this weekend. Friends visited B’dx a month ago and we are tasting what they brought back, as well as opening a ’88 Gruaud LaRose and ’88 Figeac to compare the new vintages to.

Hey Gary. Good episode — I had never heard of Sea Smoke until I joined the forums — there has been some buzz about them on there. What did I learn today? Sea Smoke = good pinot, lurkers = vampires, and gary chewing bandaids when he was younger = some insight.

QOTD: It’s going to be surprise — Jason is taking me out on a date tomorrow. very happy and very excited.

Fun show. I always love it when I find out the high end bottle from a winery is worse then the lower ends. Makes me feel better about not springing $80+ for a bottle too often.

QOTD – Oberon ’03 Cabernet Sauvignon probably. Other bottles…we’ll see what happens.

i’m going to a nine course tasting dinner tonite with paired wines, so i’ll let you know what i’m drinking this weekend after i find out!

drinking this weekend: some inexpensive Rhone! still, i think, one of the best bargains out there in QPR.

I used to sell Seasmoke but never had the chance to try any. 🙁
