On the topic of merlot, it was actually the first type of wine that I ever drank and I totally love it. I’ve never seen Sideways, but just since you talk about it so much, I think I’m going to have to rent it and see what you’re talking about.

QOTD: It’s either honey nut cheerios or honey bunches of oats. I like the honey at breakfast a whole lot.

QOTD: Definitely not an addiction but I like Life with yogurt clusters. But DT is on the money with Irish Oats (I have steal-cut, I don’t know if that’s the same thing as whole grain), they are delicious.

QOTD: Frosted Mini Wheats

QOTD: I could eat cap’n crunch with crunchberries out of a punch bowl. Absolutely addicting, cannot get full. (Although I saw they are bringing Count Chocula back – I smell T.R.O.U.B.L.E.)

QOTD: it used to be Team Flakes, but I haven’t been able to find them in about 5 years. They must’ve discontinued them. They were a stupendous Meritage of Wheat, Corn, Rice, and Oats.

Nowadays, I tend to mix 2-4 different cereals together, never the same blend twice. If I’m in a square mood, I’ll go with Quaker Oatmeal Squares blended with Kashi Autumn Wheat shredded wheat; if I’m in a flake mood it will be Smart Start, Honey Bunches of Oats, and a healthy portion of Giant Granola. With other stuff mixed in, as I experiment with new flakes/squares.

Frosted Flakes

WOW, what a timely topic today. I just got home from going to eat at an Ethiopean restaurant, and wouldn’t you know it, I had a glass of South African red wine with dinner. I don’t know the varietal of the wine, but the name caught my attention, “Goats do Rome”. It was not the best effort but name was cool, and seeing my wife roll her eyes at me when I made the oak monster sound at her was also pretty cool too. Anyway great show today.

Arrowood steelcut oatmeal. Only the real deal. If I’m healthy for breakfast, it gives me leeway with wine, ya know?

QoTD: My co-op has some sort of hippie organic strawberry-hemp granola … Delicious!

I don’t know about the show yet, but someone got the lighting really dialed in. Looks good!

QOTD: Life cereal. All the way. Even better than Life is Cinnamon Life. That is cereal heaven right there. If I die and go to heaven, my cereal of choice is Cinnamon Life.

I picked up a new wine today. Never tried this type of wine before. It’s a 2005 Galus Costieres Denimes from the Rhone Valley. Super excited about trying it.
