  • The Eagles ate Pennington’s liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti. Don’t feel bad. I’m a Seahawks fan, and we just gave the Saints their first win!

And we all know that in the BOOK Silence of the Lambs, Lecter talked about eating his liver with fava beans and an AMARONE. Nobody would pick Chianti, of all things to accompany organ meats!

QotD: WLTV is heads and shoulders #1. Once in a blue moon I’ll check out Ask a Ninja. The Omnibus episode is the best.

Great to see a chianti classico episode. Wife loves chianti and so I’ll definitely be pulling up this episdoe around Christmastime.

Great show! Nice follow up from the Cabs. – how about also comparing some of those Chianti Classico Riservas. I like to see similar wines compared. It gives me a ” Gary V Barometer” to work with when I do comparison shopping on the wines.
QOTD: Don’t track anything special – other than some videos on You Tube and TheStreet.com

  • Gary, glad you liked the Selvapiana. I saw you guys carried this and was hoping you’d taste it. After a few other wines (Pinino) I was thinking your palate and mine may be quite different, but we totally agree here. I’ve been really enjoying this wine for a while, but also their 2004 standard Chianti Rufina. Personally, I find the ’04 Chianti Rufina a better QPR at around $15-18/bottle (and I personally scored it 92 points in my notes). I have about 6 bottles left… Will definitely have to try their 2004 Riserva when it comes out, as it appears to be a better year. Also, I had the 2005 Selvapiana Chianti Rufina and I scored it 86 points… very disappointing after the ’04. Glad I picked up what I was able to of the ’04…

QOTD: There are other shows on the internets? Honestly, while I watch this one every day, I don’t watch any others… In fact I probably haven’t seen more than one episode of any other.

  • Mr. Ambassador

It’s always fun to have a new wine on the radar (I’ll be looking for the Selvapiana).

QOTD – Wine Library TV is the only show I’ve been watching on the internet; once you’ve found the best why bother with the others!

  • marshall

I just had a “villa cerna” 2004 chianti classico saturday night. Unfortunately, I wasn’t too impressed.

QOTD: Not to blow smoke up your ass or anything, but this is the only one I follow regularly. Oh, I also watch highlights of manchester United soccer games on their website. Maybe you should try doing your show with a Manchester accent one day.

Nice show, the number of the demi-Beast….

Chianti (Classico) – have a couple a year, not due one for a few months yet but typically I enjoy them (after having rediscovered good Chiantio last year following years of bad Chianti in Italian restaurants!).

QOTD – Sorry, I’m a one show only man, what with WLTV and my obsession with the WL forum I do not have time to go elsewhere.

  • I haven’t really watched any internet shows regularly other than WLTV. When you’ve had steak why eat chicken?
Thanks for the reviews. Got to get some of the last one. Still tyring to find reasonably priced Chiantis that are enjoyable.
