catching up on the back episodes this week due to holiday-sorry to hear about your illness but well recovered-taste buds suffer when you are ill,but the lascombes comes out singing.
qotd-tom hanks-much underrated for all round acting versatility, even though the oscars have recognised him

QOTD: Vince Vaughn? He’s a comedic genius, and contributes so much to each scene with his a-la-minute improv. Fred Claus? I dunno. Speaking of which, Paul Giamatti may be a very close second for favorite actor… tough, yet perfect QOTD, BIG G. GET WELL NOW!! (forget that “soon” crap)

QOTD: Cecile De France and Roman Duris both from the film ‘Spanish Apartment’ and ‘Russian Dolls’
Both great movies that follow in sequence.

The tongue thing…don’t ‘we’ all wait for just that right moment to unveil that inner talent.
    Video on the way GV.

Glad you’re feeling much better, GV. Life just ain’t the same without you on my laptop.

I took my father on a trip to Bordeaux three years ago, and both of us had a splendid time at Lascombes. As soon as I was back stateside I bought some bottles, which remain quietly aging downstairs. Dad passed earlier this year, so the memory of him telling me that the trip was one of the best highlights of his life adds both poignancy and love to the wine.

QOTD: George Clooney, Michael Kitchen (the “Foyle” series was great TV), Julie Christie and Gordon Pinset in “Away From Her,” Ulrich Mulhe and Sebastian Koch and Martina Gedeck in “The Lives of Others” — among many others.

I don’t see Kellen coming in unless Chad goes down. He’s playing just well enough to stick.

QOTD: Destiny Hope “Miley” Cyrus as Hannah Montana….jk 🙂
    Hugh Laurie as House
    Ashley Judd
    Al Pacino

Yes, I can curl my tongue. Tongue curling is a genetic trait. But can I contort it like you? I hope not…that’s not natural.
Most impressive tongue: Gene Simmons of KISS.
Best tongue in a motion picture: Scarface (1983), Steven Bauer as Manny Rivera. He and Tony Montana are at the beach discussing what women want. Manny whips out his tongue in front of Tony. Who then bets him to try that out on a chick. He does and then gets his faced slapped. To which Manny responds, “lesbian”. Classic flick…

Thanks for the forum exclusive deals. That means no toys for the kids this x-mas.

Great show Gary. Very Michael Jordan-esque, coming with the flu to throw down with a great game…

That tongue thing might make Kahuna a little crazy!

    Thanks for the Forum benefits!

QOTD; in the past,John Wayne. Now, gotta go with Gene Hackman, Nicole Kidman.

Good to have you back in the saddle, Gary.

I served a Château Lascombes 1979 at my very first dinner-date with my wife back in May 1988.

QOTD: Nobody, nobody beats Al Pacino.

Good to see you’re on the mend Gary.

QOTD: That’s a tough one. At the moment it’s Johnny Depp for Finding Neverland, Pirates 1, Edward Scissorhands, Fear and Loathing, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Libertine (in that order). Although I did recently see Eastern Promises and A History of Violence and Viggo Mortensen did a great job in both of those.
