I've been rooting through the old episodes recently, and I'm glad I found this – now I can run to Costco and pick up some of the Kirkland label. It'll make a change to actually get the wines you taste here in Korea.

QOTD – lots of stuff on gender for a research paper and Logicomix for fun. It's a graphic novel about Bertrand Russell.

I was to happy to hear the Alexander Valley cab is decent. I’ve been on the fence about buying it for a while, but I’ll pick up a bottle of two the next time I’m at Costco. I’ve also enjoyed their 2004 Kirkland Roogle Shiraz from Marquis Philips. Great QPR at $9.99.

What am I reading? “The Devil’s Highway” by Luis Alberto Urrea.

    Great show, Gary V!

    Gary:

I dropped these wines off for you. Thanks for doing them. The price points were $14.99 for the CAB and $20.99 for the other two in California.

Nice show. I go to Costco a lot but haven’t bought Kirkland wine for at least 3 years. The last bottle (Bordeaux 1999 vintage) I bought SUKT big time. I know you said to try not fixate because of one bottle but there are so many wines to try why go back to something that was bad.

QOTD: I read comments on WLTV and YouTube

Too bad you have to have a membership to get those wines. Never gonna happen for me.

QOTD: I’m reading Neal Stephenson’s Cryptonomicon, as well as a bunch of crap from literary journals for my research paper on the Crusades.
