I’m glad St. Julian is showing up. The vineyard is not far from my hometown, and I would pass it regularly on the way to my grandparents. The problem I’ve had with St. Julian is that make all those candy and fruit-type wines. You make me proud to give my home state another chance.

QOTD: 2005 Wolftrap – would have NEVER picked it up, but did so on your recco – have had half a case and it has been an absolutely STUNNING QPR every time. Just had one last night in fact. The complexity this wine brings for under 10 bones is incredible. Big UPs GV!

Went to Sherry Lehman to pick up a neutral red for a “smell off” I am hosting at my wine tasting group tomorrow night and Franc Debouf offered to autograph a bottle of beaujolais nouveau, so what the hey, I bought it. I like fruit juice.
