The worst steak ever is the one I marinated in Kiwi for way WAY too long. A quick marinade in kiwi will tenderize, I now know that a long kiwi marinade will pre-digest meat.

QOTD: MY cousin BBQ’d some filet mignon steaks while we were watching football on Thur. night a few weeks ago. That was the best steak I have had in recent memory. I had a steak at my parents house that my father overcooked(sorry dad)tasted like shoe leather,it was bad.

Best steak–probably a George Diamond Steak House steak in Chicago, but I don’t order steak much when I am out.

Worst steak–probably some scrawny ribeye I overcooked in my college days but was too hungry and too broke to throw out.

The very first wine I ever had was out of a box back in my college days-tasted like sugar water with some alcohol thrown in but my girlfriend (now my wife) loved it. I completely forgot to comment about the thanksgiving pack-it was the first time I ordered from WL and we loved the wine. We even saved one bottle to drink around Christmas. I’m light on cash, but hopefully I’ll order the Christmas pack before you sell out (it you haven’t already!)
QOTD: Best: Prime rib in college with friends at a little pub Worst:I worked at Pondarossa one summer-had several nasty steaks.

QOTD: in recent memory, my favourite steak is a Bob Blummer-inspired seasoning (salt, cayenne, water) on a nice rib-eye. it’s my no-fail steak for the bbq.

the most disappointing was at the Keg about 2 years ago. it wasn’t awful, just bland and boring…

Great episode. I’ve always wondered if there is a kernel of truth behind the wine when I see people shoot glares at those looking at the boxed section. Though I must admit to buying 5L of Franzia white zin a few years back and getting completely bombed with college friends. -Good Times!

Worst: Most restaurant steak is tough so I almost never order it and go with Rack of Lamb if I want the meat.

Honestly, I tell myself I’m not a wine snob by any means…but I cringed when I saw “box wine tasting.” I may have to go buy a few boxes of wine as penance.

The best steak I’ve ever had was at The Rockcliff, in Rocky River, Ohio. They cook the steaks in a wood-fire oven, and mmm are they delicious.

The worst steak I’ve ever had was probably this summer from a golf outing where the caterer served a dry, tough, crappy little steak. I didn’t even finish it (and I’m not a picky eater).

Best Steak: The steak for two at Peter Luger’s.
Worst: The dry thing that I cooked.

QOTD: Best: skirt steak…I’m a steak frites kinda guy. Worst: anything that I ate growing up. My mother…I love her…can not cook. I thought well done cube steak was all that was out there for a long time.
