EP 382 Torrontes: The white wine of Argentina on Display

One of the great discoveries of 2007 for me and many Vayniacs was the Torrentes grape from Argentina.

    Iâ??m doubling up today. Starting off the New Year in full stride, I wanted to send out my sympathies for your recent loss. I have been very fortunate as well not to have lost close ones, however that fortune has changes Dec 9. Looking at about 4 weeks back I lost my closest relative that I had (Grandma). So your side-note message today was definitely worth mentioning.

    I have been diggin the Argentina Reds, but don’t care much for white in general. Though since it hails from my favorite wine country, I’ll give it a whorl.

    You made me aware of Torrontes in Epi #155 and when I visited Argentina in April and asked the cabbies for a wine suggestion almost all said “try the Torrontes”. they are delicious. Good prediction on your part.
