QOTD: Coppola Claret or Los Vascos

I don’t have a go-to wine, but I’ve been looking for one. The specific ones I’ve been considering are Pillar Box or Panarroz Jumilla. I would also consider a Cotes du Rhone (Domaine La Garrigue possibly) or a Barbera. I have to say I have RARELY drank the same bottle twice in the past 8 months.

Try to shy away from a house wine, as that is boring, but I picked up a six pack of Chateau Helene Corbieres Penelope 2003 from the Languedoc a while back, and that will be my house wine until it is gone…

another vote for Washington – Columbia Crest for the go-to-everyday-drinking sort of vineyard. I like the reds, especially Two Vines, and also enjoy their sparkling wines.

Whoops forgot to mention that “Charamba” is made from Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional, the red grape kind yea!

QOTD: My favorite everyday wine is Rapahanack Red from Hartwood Winery. It is a semi-dry Chambourcin that goes with anything.

QOTD: Don’t have one. “Everyday wine” is more of an idea of price to me than type of wine or area or varietal. So I would maybe say I consider anything under $15 (wine is more expensive here in Iowa) that I’m not absolutely pumped for to be my “everyday wines.”

Any I no longer have an everyday, I am really trying buy different things every time i go shop. but my every day varietal is Cab or merlot…

my fav every day drinker this year has to be the chateua pesquie “les Terrasses” – silky smooth, and tastes way more like a $20 bottle than a $10 bottle.

my goto wine is a Faustino VII Rioja -don’t know if you’ve tried it, or how available it is in the states, but it’s no to expensive here in Ireland (about 18 of your bones)

QOTD: I’m really leaning hard towards ‘anything old world’. Fruit bombs seduced me, but now I’m a) kinda tired of them and b) not so impressed on how they take food on. So I’m into a mix of Rhone, Loire, Bordeaux, and Burgundy right now.
