Gary, you've made a terrible mistake. On episode 392, you opened a bottle of Achaval Finca Mirador. Now, episode 393, it's Finca Altamira!!!! Wasn't it suposed to be the same bottle??? Poor Gary….Also, you have already tasted Mirador at episode 43, when you had Santiago as a guest!!!!!!!!!!

    How does Gary affect a winemaker’s or vineyard’s reputation any more than Parker or WS? Seriously. Why can Parker and WS get a free pass for rating wines and recommending them and Gary not?

    I hope this isnt the reason, I really hope it isnt.

    All I know is that I was promised great things in 2008 from WLTV, I never thought that meant that it would end before the 1st month was over.

    However, should it end, its been a great ride and please dont take the site down because I, for one, would like to watch and reference previous episodes.

    I’ve got more to comment, but I’ll watch this episode first!!

    I think the big question is: “Save it from what?” You love doing the show too much, there is no way you would leave your loyal fan base.

    How about if we pooled together and bought the Jets for you? Or maybe we can start small: we can buy the Vikings or something (only $782 mil.).

    Well the bottom line here is this.
    WLTV=GaryV. WLTV – GaryV = pointless.
    So who can save WLTV ? Well that boils down to ‘What does GaryV require to continue to create episodes’. What can virtual friends do to make Gary want to continue ? Gary does seem to like numbers, ‘if I get 1000 comments, then…’, ‘only 7 more to go’, ‘only 370 more days to the next Superbowl…’ So we can produce site traffic, but what else ? If Gary is done, then that is it. Whinging is futile.

    Don’t try and act like you’ve rated all the wines out there. I can go to any wine store within 20 miles with a list of the wines in “gary’s scores” and not find ONE.

    A long time lurker, I rise from the murky darkness to make an observation. Has anyone recalled that a few episodes ago, Gary had a box on the tasting table that housed none other than an Apple TV unit? A device that allows you to view video files from your computer on a television? WLTV, on your actual TV??? Sounds like a format transition, folks!

    The Jets can make a comeback . . . AND SO CAN YOU!!!!! I have looked forward to the Vayniac March 29 event. It wouldn’t be the same without the Thunder Show getting us psyched. Cut back a little if 5 days a week is too vexing. Have some guest hosts to share the burden (Mott! Link some up.) But . . .THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!!!!

    I am a “lurker” but I have only been watching the show for about 2 months…
    In that time I have become a total ADDICT!!!!

    If you stop making the show now I will cry my eyes out!
    I fell in love with wine about a year ago and have been looking for someone just like you to inspire me and guide me and appeal to my wine needs.

    So, I am begging you from the bottom of my heart, dont leave…
    You are so appreciated and loved and admired.

    If you do leave, I say Thank you for all the great episodes. I guess I will have to settle for the back issues on the website.

    3) Ask viewers to submit THEIR episodes. That could be a lot of fun!

    You have looked tired in recent weeks – but, man, I’ve still followed you each day. I was really a wine virgin when I started tasting several months ago. Even though you’re not the end all, your advice guided me to try, try, try new things.

    You have had great energy this week and it’s radool to see how that’s translated into some amazing eps. I have a feeling the show is going to morph into something bigger and greater. It’s in your blood, GV…
