Gary, you've made a terrible mistake. On episode 392, you opened a bottle of Achaval Finca Mirador. Now, episode 393, it's Finca Altamira!!!! Wasn't it suposed to be the same bottle??? Poor Gary….Also, you have already tasted Mirador at episode 43, when you had Santiago as a guest!!!!!!!!!!

    Gary,

I know you will not end the show because Mott would be crushed. You and Mott are like Johnny Carson and Ed Mcmahon. Viva Las Vaynernation

  • If you leave.. I will probably slit my wrists. You make my day Gary! I will save WLTV by LOVING IT!

    Gary,

Coming from the CKC crowd, there is only one reason that i got into the wine world. You and the show need to survive to recruit more people and influence the wine world. We are all here gary, we just need that little bit of you to save the wine world!!!

    -JC

  • Happy to see the Leocadie recommendation. DHL just dropped my bottle off this afternoon.

QOTD: Gary, I know you love doing the show. But I know you love all the feedback you get from the community even better. It is only the lurkers that can save the show…plus, it would be pretty sweet to max out your friends on facebook.

So everyone that hasn’t…for the sake of WLTV…FRIEND GARY UP!!!

  • QOTD: I don’t get it. This is beginning to feel like 1969 and we sports fans know what happened that year. Save the show from what! It sounds like DaVinci getting ready to trash the Mona Lisa and asking “can I really save this?”

So will March 29 be considered “The WLTV Shiva” with Mott handing out the black ribbons at the door?

    “Baruch atah . . . “

I am thinking either 1. changing the name 2. moving to TV. Who can save this show…? The Oak Monster (or fear of the OM). C’mon, Gary. You aren’t going to let that bad boy take over the wine world.

    Gary,

If you go global (Food Network) You will lose the freedom of doing your own show the way we all like it, from the hip and from the heart.

great conclusion to the yesterday’s show. enjoyed the experiment.

i save folks nearly every day man – more vital work than trying to save your ‘net show! you want to kill the show it is your prerogative – but do a Friuli episode before it dies.

QOTD: Nobody likes a quitter GV. For those of us jaded veterans of the biz, your show has been a fresh perspective. And outside the box, outside the norm source for many people to get into wine. That being said-thank you from a this distributor for all the work you’ve done to bring people closer to our niche. And as for your words negatively affecting the industry, perhaps some over affected suppliers or winery’s need to get off their high horse and take things in stride. Here’s to uhhh……what do they call it?? Oh yeah free speech! Yay for the constitution! yay for WLTV!

This isn’t funny Gary, stop screwing around with this quitting business

  • stewart l

To save the show-do 3 episodes per week, have more winemakers or how about some chefs for food pairings. Do more locations.

  • QOTD: Yes I (we) could. In fact, I sent Gary an e-mail on this very topic this morning, oddly enough. I’m of the belief that the show’s not ending it’s just changing to something else. Maybe I’m in denial, maybe I can save the show!

    We need Joanne Colan
    See her at rocketboom.com

I am in agreement with some of the comments left above… Gary… save the show by taking it on the road. I loved the pre-Holiday New York wine tasting tour stuff. Do more of that kind of thing. Get yourself out of the office!

  • Who can save WLTV? Only YOU can prevent forest fires. Heh heh, only Gary can save WLTV. WLTV – Gary = MEH. GV IS WLTV. WLTV – Gary = I subscribe to International Wine Cellar, where no one has a personality.
Well, I have the Torbreck Woodcutter’s Shiraz in my ‘inventory’… sure it will be good, if not the massive fruit bomb that the Run Rig is.
Oh, stop putting us on GV, tell us what the heck you’re up to! There must be some master plan.

Wasn’t it you who said you would love to have more guest on the Thunder show? So why throw in the towel now? When there are so much more wines to tast and many more cool people you could have on the show. Anyway, great show and would love for you to stick around for at least 400 more episodes.

I’m surprised you hung in there this long. I’ll host the “Show” if you provide the wine and the digicam. Thanks for the ride Gary!

QOTD: of course I can save it. I save all the great Thunder shows in my ITunes.

Thanks for the “tip”. As a Chateauneuf Du Pape lover on a budget, I will try the Leocadie.

Vaynernation to GVC: If you leave, we will findy find you.

at least do a show where a hot girl slathers Petit Verdot grapes all over your bum and then you dance and recite poems?

  • I’m not sure what we are trying to save it from. It is all GV regardless of the you and me comment you make each episode. Unless you have individual guests and that is a possibility. Hey what happened to that anyhow? The show has been consistent and has been entertaining and informative. I’m not sure what else one would want from an Internet video blog.
