QOTD: Joining Associated Students (student government) in college. I met my future (and now) wife within 2 weeks of joining. We also met my best friend through A.S. and he eventually hooked us both up with our current post-college jobs. Talk about life’s random connections…

Love this wine! A holiday in Umbria is highly recommended. Montefalco is small but cool. Loved Spoleto the best, Assisi more popular but close behind.

Every once in awhile I Paint…it’s helps me to relieve stress and that’s way I do it…not because it looks good or because people ask for it,but simply because it makes me feel better when I’m done.

Been a lurker since WLTV inception, but have to say I’m very happy you’re continuing with the show. You have great impact on wine education and have made me even more passionate about wine–if that’s possible.

Gary, your amazing you really are. i hope you dont think that the show is getting tired. i have blown through almost 400 episodes in 3 months, and i am still looking forward to all the new ones. if i new how to bake i’d send you a nice pumpkin pie, but i dont so i guess your just out of luck.

GV, I was watching this show at work, during some down time. When you started the show and explained you were going to continue on with the Thunder.. .I had the largest smile roll out of my face. My co-workers were like, “What’s with the smile?”. And I’m like, “The thunder has returned!”. :))

QOTD: For myself. . . many, many, many moons ago, I took a monkey off my back. It was one of the hardest, but most necessary things to do. And now I live a cleaner life than ever before.

Thank god you’re back! In the off chance you read this, I just want to let you know that you are the reason I drink wine at all. I used to hate it, but then I heard something about how you’re meant to decant wine, so I searched on Youtube and found your decanting video, and ever since then I’ve been trying so many different kinds of wine. All to myself too, because none of my friends like it. And because of you I bore them to tears when talking about different kinds of wine all the time…

So thankyou Gary, thankyou so much. Take a break if things are getting too much because despite what you say, it’s you that’s changing the wine world. Not us.

QOTD: When I went on holiday to Russia. I saw St Petersburg and Moscow, and they are the most beautiful and interesting places I’ve ever been. And it was in the middle of the winter and I’ve never seen that much snow before…it was crazy

So delighted to see you’ve come to your senses :~P and are going to continue WLTV … Certainly have learnt an enormous amount from you and love seeing the show while I’m preparing dinner during the week.

QoTD: Wow, that’s too “big” a QoTD … So, I’ll, instead, answer “What’s the greatest thing you’ve done in the last week?” … Which, I imagine, was eating a *delicious* dark chocolate bar with little bits of candied orange peel in it. Sensational … if addictive.

Wow, Sagrantino… not for everyone, in my book. I found one at Trader Joe’s for about $20 and it was good, but seriously powerful, seriously olive-smelling, seriously tannic. I’ll try them again in the future, but not unless I’m eating, like, a raw steak…with dirt on top!

Going to med school. Thanks for continuing the show. I enjoy it and would be sad to see you stop after little more than a year. You have a lot more wine to share with us. Sangrantino must be a stealth wine because I spent a week in Umbria and didn’t ever hear of this wine. Will have to try it. Again thanks for what you do.

You rock Gary. So glad you decided to keep the thunder show alive, and give me my 20 minutes of zen each day.
