OMG! Just had the 04 Delas Herimtage Bessard last night, I have to say that it’s the most balanced and well made wine I’ve ever tasted. The balance is crazy and combined with a ton of subtle lovely nuances it makes it almost worth the price tag ($110 is still quite above my normal range).

    great show, haven’t had a hermitage in a while, thanks for reminding me of that. also you’ve got my interest peaked to try some shiraz/viognier (no, not the Torbreck Descendant, more likely the Carina).

    QOTD: Jets, oh, wait…sorry. The Giants are the Davids, however, I think Goliath is going to win, especially if they score first. 27-10

    The Butter Bandit was spotted this past summer in a 2004 Rully from Pierre Yves Colin-Morey. My notes simply say, “Popcorn!” And not just popcorn, but buttered popcorn – think Buttered Popcorn flavored Jelly Bellies.

    Love your show. I agree completely that the Syrah/white grape blends (especially from Oz) are absolutely great. Cali producers need to start moving in this direction.

    As to the question: Answer is … I think the Pats win but I would love to see them lose after all the hype. I hate Bellichek and Brady. To see the smugness wiped off of their faces would be better than your $110 bottle of Hermitage.
