The biggest change in my wine life is that the dull intermittent pain in my liver has become more of an incessant pinching but I am encouraged by the unscientific assurances of friends and strangers that the liver is resilient and responds positively to regular doses of raw red cabbage and optimism.

QOTD: I’m starting to tolerate more oaky wines. Before I hated them.

QOTD: It would absolutely have to be moving from Cali Paso Robles/SB area with all of its new world love to Burgundy the big mamma in the old world. It has been a very different experience for me.

Well you got the Giants score right just not the Pats. Way to go Mott, rooting for a team that can actually win as opposed to the moribund Jets. As soon as you said Wine Spectator rates this a 90 I knew the wine was going to be bad. Biggest change for me is no longer collecting wines that need to be aged for 15-20 years as I’m too old to ever enjoy them.

QOTD: I stopped buying at the grocery store and now buy at a local wine shop, and try all sorts of different varietals. I’m finding things I like that I nver knew existed!

I have long been a fan of drinking local wine, so although I work for a company that carries the MO “drink American” – I am interested in finding some more foreign wines that I like.
