I hated the Ash Hollow at a recent tasting, might have been a different year.
I am in to Southern Rhone whites. I’d love to try the Northern ones but…$$$$$$.

Gonna walk over and give my wife a smootchie smootch. I just finished drinking a Covey Run Riesling…fruity, tasty, refreshing, two glasses were gone before I realized it.

QOTD: I have started to drink and appreciate Rieslings recently.

Kissed my wife, had some decent Greek whites lately.

Another amazing show Gary. Any guy who can get all mushy about their family and encourage others to do the same is a “REAL” man in my book. e-mailed son and parents.

QOTD just got back from trip to Portland, Oregon. Went to the Lemelson Vineyard in Carlton, Oregon and tasted their wines. Came back with some 2006 Dry Riesling and some 2006 Tikka’s Run Pinot Gri. I think they are both wonderful, wish I’d bought more while I was there as I can’t get them in Utah and I can’t have anybody ship them to me.

I had a Columbia Valley Pinot Gris the other day and I actually got soap and honeydew melon on the sniffy sniff. Amazing.

QOTD – Matua Valley Sauvignon Blanc Paretai 2007 blew our socks off recently. Gar – PLEASE try this wine on the TS – you will NOT regret it.

Had sushi yesterday with the Yativ 2005 sauvignon blanc. White wines can indeed rock.

Torrontes, hands down.

DOTD: Had dinner with my parents tonight, went to the movies with my girlfriend, told my niece she is the coolest kid in the world, extra petting for the dog and cat!

QOTD: After watching the Torrontes show, I sought a couple out. The Bodega Colome Torrontes 2007, and the Quara Torrontes 2006. The Quara was a little simple, but for like $8 packed a lot of aroma and flavor. The Colome was amazingly aromatic, huge floral component (soap too maybe) and some lemon-lime! Also just had the Lois Gruner Veltliner which was pretty cool.

Gary this was an excellent show … really good tasting notes! But man I gotta say that I probably wouldn’t even be watching this show if it wasn’t for your heart, it really is in the right place spread the love brother! That really is what’s important I love it!

I just text messaged my girlfriend, who lives 400 miles away in chicago 🙁 , right before I watched this. and told her I love her .. oh and I might have woken her up 😀 oops…. So I beat you to that.. BUT I’m email my mom and sister right now!

QOTD: Pinot Gris or Blanc… it’s been a toss up lately. A few weeks ago I had a great Pinot Bianco from Italy, Alois Lageder – Alto Adige.

You should do a new bubbly episodes.. maybe for valentines day?! 🙂 I love bubbles.

And btw… I just bought an iPhone and will be FINALLY able to watch the show on my bus ride to and from work! So I won’t miss as many anymore 🙂

QOTD: You’ll be proud, lately I’ve been seaking out Torrontes wines and have really enjoyed them during a time when I normally would just be drinking reds. I’ll for sure seek out the Ash Hollow, I like a good Gewurz.

I just turned 21 about an hour ago, and later today I will be having my first real glass of wine. I have been trying to learn as much about wine as possible recently and can’t wait to start enjoying it.

Demand: I just told my sister up in heaven that I love her. I haven’t talked to her since she died a few months ago, so I think it was overdue. I know she was listening to me.

Question: We will have to wait and see.

QOTD – my favorite white wine is from a vineyard I visited this summer in Traverse City, MI. It’s a chardonnay from Bowers Harbor Vineyard and the reason I like it so much is that it doens’t taste like a chardonnay. It tastes like a Reisling! 17 bones – a little more than I spend normally, but definitely worth it.

Also, gotta love a show where the colour of a wine is described as “Hulk Hogan’s hair circa ’84! And I totally had Jelly shoes in the 80’s!

I just called my wife and told her that I love her 🙂

QOTD: Easy: 2007 Bay of Fires Riesling Tigress from Tasmania! TRY THIS!
