    I love Cabernet Francs.

    QOTD: I actually have quite a few bottles of Loire Reds and will definitely consume one this weekend, especially after this long week with exams and whatnot. Will come back and repost my thoughts at the end of the weekend.

  • QOTD – No I will not go out and try a Loire Valley Cab Franc this weekend. Unfortunately I have a long weekend in Walla Walla planned and that is going to eat up my wine budget for a few weeks. However, I will make an effort to try a LVCF before the end of Q1.

    Hey Gary-
    Somehow I knew that this ep. would be one that you’d really get into…just like the PV ep.
    Probably the most interesting thing I noticed today (and I don’t know why I didn’t notice it sooner) is that you are honest 100% of the time. For instance….after having Larkin’s Cab. Franc…you picked up your stress football and started saying all the things you liked about the wine, until the oak monster came out. Yet, for some strange reason, I know that you wanted to spit out the wine and just say you didn’t like it. Still…as you clearly put it… Larkin is your friend and I can competely understand the “walking on eggshells” approach to evaluating his wine. In the end, I really hope that he appreciates your honesty….everyone has an opinions, but I think that he would value yours alittle more than mine.
