Purely coincidental that I am drinking a Dark Horse pinot as I watched this. Found it on clearance at Tar-jay. That should have been all the clue I needed, but curiosity got the better of me. Meh is the best I can give it. But, I tried something new! 😉

  • Great episode. Pickle juice worked for the Eagles against Dallas, so why wouldn’t everyone love it?

  • Damn that Tom’s fast, and the show’s early, a week and a half of missing the Thunder show and I’m almost #1 on my return.

    Happy Valentines day everyone!

  • Finally! I have been checking in for like 10 times now – wanted to download the episode to my ipod to see it before the evening proceeds… (about 9 pm here in Italy now).
I’m feeling really part of the thunder now (and it’s been only three intense months – two of which with high speed internet!!)

QOTD: Yes, very much! The last one I had was not very good though. It was the 2005 Rex Hill Pinot Noir. Way over-priced.

  • QOTD – Yes, I drink Pinot Noir, although not as much as I could or maybe should. Last Oregon Pinot was just under a year ago, a basic A to Z P-N. I have an Elk Cove 2004 due for drinking within the next year.

GV feeling a little froggy today?!?
QOTD…..I’ve had maybe 3 pinot noir’s and can’t say that I’ve found one yet that I really liked?

  • QOTD: I actually just bought a Pinot Noir from Oregon this morning to drink with my husband tonight for Valentines Day (and I hadn’t even seen the show yet…must have WLTV ESP). It’s the 2006 Sipino Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley, and it was a very reasonable price ($14.99) so we’ll see if we’ve found a good Pinot under $20!

qotd – no, not a fan on pinot noir.

  • Gary gets loopy when he tapes too many episodes in a row.

    Gary,
I tend to like Belle Pente and St Innocent Pinot noir. Thanks for letting us be part of the family.
    Take good care,

Loves me some Pinot. Might have to try a bottle of the EIEIO.

QOTD: oh GV, you know how heavy I roll with Ory-gun! and actually, weirdly enough the last Oregon Pinot Noir I had was the ’06 Domaine Coteau RESERVE. the fruit is a lot more pure on the reserve than the regular brand you tasted, but I kind of prefer the character of the regular to be honest. Both great wines though and the winemaker Dean Sandifer is one of the nicest most down to earth guys I’ve ever met. Everyone seek Domaine Coteau out!

  • sobojosh

ohhh! dead dear and cherries pt 2

  • I have a bottle of 2005 King’s Estate Signature Pinot Noir that needs to be opened, possibly tonight. My girl doesn’t drink, so I’m not sure if I’ll bother cracking a $25 bottle.

QotD: The wife and I don’t often get pinot noir, because frankly it’s an easy grape to screw up and we’ve had some pretty bad wines. Oregon pinot noir is, of course, more expensive than your basic PN because it’s, well… GOOD. At any rate, when planning a nice meal calling for pinot noir to be used we decided to splurge and now of course I forget what it was.

  • Tom T.

I’ve had a few Oregon Pinot’s but cannot remember which ones. Will definitely give some like EIEIO a try. Cool thing with the ESPN mention. Do you see more hits from it?
