QOTD – I live in NW Iowa…not much to do. I hang out at the local bars and some friends and I host get together’s at our homes.

QOTD: Usually I hang out at my friend’s place. Saturday nights I hang out at Michael Alan’s Draw-a-thon in NYC.

wow. You have 4 new followers from our wine tasting with the secret packs. Wifey and I had 4 neighbors over, and wow. We were blown away. We had the old lemon zest, the wood oak, the.. OMG. it was great.
One neighbor said he’d buy the next secret pack and continue the tradition. Wow. We are, with a little bit of you, are changing the wine world. wow.

Have to say that I was charmed by the fact that you were attracted to girls with chicken pox scars when you were young. I think I know what you mean: the imperfections made them more ‘real’ for some reason, there was more detail to savor, kinda in the same way that freckles and moles can be cute. I think it makes sense that you would be attentive to that kind of detail, being the full-blown aesthete you are.

QOTD: I like to hang out in plant nurseries and conservatories, especially the Morris Arboretum’s fernery, outside Philly. It’s the last remaining freestanding Victorian fernery in North America. Go there on a very cold day–it’s like stepping down into a prehistoric world: caves, streams, waterfalls, ponds…heaven.

Great show. Crazy you mentioned that book! Selling a Good Time is bound to be an underground classic. Anyone who has ever worked a sales job (they might not particularly like) in their mid to late twenties will “get it.”

Oh, and of course, QOTD…we hang out wherever the wine flows…doesn’t everyone?

Look forward to trying the two reds over the weekend!!! I like this secret pack thing… I wouldn’t have bought the screw cap wine (I know it’s just a prejudice, but I like wines with sober labels and cork caps… or it’s maybe fetish…)

We bought the Le Muscle on Sat. at WL. I picked that bottle out of the group ’cause it was my favorite face, haha. Glad you liked it sooo much and can’t wait to drink it up. btw… you did the sniffy-sniff but didn’t describe the scent, hmmm.

QOTD: Every Fri. we have dinner at a new restaurant pick in NJ, preferably a BYOB. We’re due for a NYC dinner. Sat. we hang with friends where the fun is at or with family @ Grandma’s. Sun. we run errands and prefer to relax.

I think you need to trade the Jets bucket for a Mets Bucket for opening week.

I love hanging out at Coffee Depot. Supposedly the largest coffee house in the US. It’s been my best place to hang through med school for studying and fun

Got the 2 pack. Really liked Le Muscle. Didn’t pick up all of the flavors Gary did but still training my pal. Can’t wait to try the Fitou to see if I pick up the tomato juice/V8.

Really helps to taste along. I hope you do many more of these.

Actually, I hang out usually in the Chemical Engineering undergrad lounge, in the engineering building. It’s a nice, homey sort of place, usually with some snacks available, and the latest edition of the long-running cartoon series, the ChemE Bunny Suicides. Today it was filled with balloons to represent a packed bed reactor.

Did not order the secret pack, but I have read the book you mentioned. It is a little edgy, but I loved it. I’ve recommended it to a few friends. I’ve only had one white bordeaux and I really enjoyed it and look forward to trying more in the future.

Boy, can’t wait to try these (and the last surprise pack too). How about doing a 4th of July pack with a good Zin in there. Can’t hurt to ask, right?

I hang out with my wife usually at a place in Miami called David Place. We know virtually everybody who goes there every day, and on Saturdays I perform there. We also go to Casa Juancho, Studio Cafe, La Bodeguita del Medio, and many other night clubs in Miami.
